I have tried over and over to get this thing working, and just missed my refund date..

First of all, the bright green nightlight that you cant shut off is ridiculous. I opened it up, put heat shrink tubing over the led bulbs, and closed it up. It is now dark. The WiOn app is pretty bad too. However, I was able to find some working code that integrates it with Home Assistant (Cloud-based though) Otherwise, this is cheap and effective. I use it for my 3d printer. The main plug turns the printer on/off and the usb is for the Octoprint server (and old LG G7) which stays on and I dont want smart controlled.

This switch does exactly what it says.. and no more... Ive got a Vera home automation setup, AND an Amazon Alexa and I assumed Id be able to integrate it with at least one of those, but it turns out, I cannot.. That being said, it was REALLY easy to setup, and so far, its worked 100% reliably. I havent tried to access it from outside my home network, but Ive got it configured to control my christmas tree lights, and it does it quite well, while giving me a local button to override and turn on/off manually, and/or by my iPhone.. Im reserving the one star for the inability to integrate with ANYTHING apparently, but in reality, thats probably not fair, since it never claimed to... I just figured these days, most smart home devices can integrate with SOMETHING over either Zwave or Wifi, and theres no excuse not to support that functionality on this device.. It would be really cool if you could trigger it based on other sensors and events on my other home automation systems.. Maybe someday it will come, or Ill find out by reverse engineering what packet I need to send to control it with my own code..

Well, it would certainly be nice if the 2 USB ports were also controlled by the timer functions, since that really was what I needed, but its still a good adapter and it will be nice to have the energy monitoring feature for the area Im using it in.

I bought this wifi switch at home depot for $24.99, and felt compelled to write this review. Best wifi switch on the market. Beats in simplicity and effectiveness all the other you find in the market, including wemo. Connecting to wifi and being seen by my iOS devices was a breeze.

I have a bunch of these for indoor and outdoor applications. The app was not great, but it worked. I could integrate devices into my Amazon Echo system. I used them for holiday lights, fans, and other things. With iOS 16, I can no longer add devices to the Wion app. I am able to add them to an Android tablet I have. However, it looks like they no longer integrate to the Amazon Echo. I have not gotten any response from anyone at Woods/Wion, etc.. This is very disappointing. I have about 15 of these and now they are pretty much worthless. I would recommend buying something else.

Setup was very easy and having 2 usb ports, that are always on, is very convenient. I purchased this item because I was told it would work with Alexa, which it does NOT! It does, however, have some very useful features that make it a good buy. I love that it reports back how much power is going through it at any given time, and knows sunrise and sunset times based on zip code. If they come out with a skill for Alexa, or IFTTT, theyll get that 5th star!

I love these. Easy to set up and program timers work very well. I see they now sell them at Lowe’s, Menards, and Home Depot.

Worthless. A waste of money! Can connect to any router.

Screen for the app gets stuck on looking for router despite multiple resets. Tried with both iPhone 13 and 14. Zero functionality, troubleshooting etc. on the app itself.
