Works great and I really like the USB plug light that you can program to turn on at night.

I decided to buy 2 different types, this wion and also the ihome plug. As another reviewer said, if you expect various intermitent power outages, when the power of back up, the wion DOES NOT RECONNECT to be controlled from distance, where the ihome does not seem to have a problem. To solve this problem, in the last 2 months, I press the sent debugging email button in the app, and 80% of the time, it reconnects, making me believe there is some human manual adjustment. When I put a note for the company that their ihome competitor does not have that problem and to let me know if they plan to solve this glitch, they gave me nonsense explanations totally discarding that the ihome works through their excuses. Too bad wion, this time the debugging email I sent you it did not reconnect my wion but it threw me in the reset connect new device screen and I am not about to drive 40 miles to reconnect it, I WILL INSTEAD RETURN IT!, too bad because your app seems to be more intuitive than ihomes amd the hardware seems fine, its on the software end were your denial exists! Bye!

Setup was very easy and having 2 usb ports, that are always on, is very convenient. I purchased this item because I was told it would work with Alexa, which it does NOT! It does, however, have some very useful features that make it a good buy. I love that it reports back how much power is going through it at any given time, and knows sunrise and sunset times based on zip code. If they come out with a skill for Alexa, or IFTTT, theyll get that 5th star!

These are a challenge to get linked . I got it once, had to redo my wifi and then I couldn’t link for a bit. I finally got to work again. They are nice, it’s nice you can control from phone. I do like them a lot when I finally got to work :)

Im skeptical of technology that is new like these wifi outlets. So much can go wrong with connection. So far, its been about 3 weeks and this little sucker is 100 miles away in my cabin and its online ANY time I have needed it. What I LOVE is that I can see if my propane heater is running (drawing current) so that I can safely power it down when I see that its not in burn mode. The timer function is really handy. The only thing I WISH it would do is come back on with the same configuration in a loss of power situation. I had the unit ON and simulated power loss by unplugging the wion from the wall. When I plugged it back in it reconnected to wifi but remained OFF. With all the tech in this, I would think some sort of mem config would be in order.

I love this. Works seamlessly with my Alexa. I wish I could give it 6 stars.

I have a bunch of these for indoor and outdoor applications. The app was not great, but it worked. I could integrate devices into my Amazon Echo system. I used them for holiday lights, fans, and other things. With iOS 16, I can no longer add devices to the Wion app. I am able to add them to an Android tablet I have. However, it looks like they no longer integrate to the Amazon Echo. I have not gotten any response from anyone at Woods/Wion, etc.. This is very disappointing. I have about 15 of these and now they are pretty much worthless. I would recommend buying something else.

Screen for the app gets stuck on looking for router despite multiple resets. Tried with both iPhone 13 and 14. Zero functionality, troubleshooting etc. on the app itself.

The app doesn’t work well. Cannot create new account. Noisy click when switch turns on and off.
