The rollers came faster than expected. I chose to remove the hinges to install the rollers. The bottom screw on the hinges was not slotted, so relocation was a breeze. Socket and pneumatic tool made quick work of replacement. I have no idea how long the new rollers will last, but the old metal rollers made it since 1992. Yes they were loud and rattled. So are the new rollers more quiet? On that one Ill let you guess.

I like the idea of sealed ball bearings. Much quieter now. Has to be easier on the motor now that the friction is reduced.

I didnt think there was a lot to know about garage door rollers. Of course the originals were cheap as popssble. I learned the good ones are sealed with orings on both sides. Others that claimed to be sealed only had a plastic cap to seal the bearing from dirt and junk. One review said to use a soldering iron to burn the cap on so it wont fall off. I spent the extra $10 ($5 per door) and got the good ones. I greased the stem with white lithium and installed. Now theyll outlast me!!

Did quiet door opening and made it smootherto operate. Will buy again.

Im so glad I was told about these, it was fairly easy to install, just took a little time but love how quiet these are. No more screeching or chunkiness. I would definitely recommend these.

They definitely spin smooth. Very well made! In my garage I did not notice a difference in the noise level. The bulk of my noise is generated by the screw mechanism. Greasing this periodically makes my garage door open and close quieter. Luckily these were not too expensive.

Top is before and bottom is after. Open is first half and closed is the second half. This is with a belt driven opener so it was already a lot quieter than when I had the chain but these also help!

These were easy to install myself and greatly reduced the noise my garage door makes when opening/closing compared to the rollers installed on my door by precision garage door.
