Youth Digital Mod Design 1 - Online Course for MAC/PC

YouthDigitals Mod Design 1 is absolutely hands-down the best birthday gift Ive ever given my son. He and his siblings (14, 12, 10, 8) all LOVE the videos, plus my son is learning so much about coding. He is realizing that the tiniest details mean everything. When we had issues with the installation of GIMP, the tech support was fantastic! Best of all, after the year of tutorials are over, we will still have Eclipse so he can continue modding. If your child loves Minecraft and is interested in coding, this is for you!

When the company youth digit owned and produced the product it worked wonderfully and was an awesome homeschooling tool. When youth digital was sold to APEX LEARNING it became part of a curriculum that they offer and the boxed software packaged by youth digital no longer works... DO NOT SPEND ANY MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT AS IT NO LONGER FUNCTIONS AND SHOULD NO LONGER BE SOLD BY ANY COMPANY WITH A CONSCIENCE.

My 8 year old son cant wait to watch the videos and create and design the mods. I program for a living and was excited to see this course, Ive been looking for ways to engage my son in programming, but found things too basic or too much click and drag in other programs for his age. With this course he is learning real programming concepts, how to work within packages, instantiate classes, call methods, read source code, debug and much more all in a fun an non-intimidating way. There is also a creative aspect to the course where you are taught to navigate Gimp, and open-source graphics editor.

My son and I are racing through this course right now -- we bought it some time ago, but didnt install it until recently. We just found out their website is being discontinued 2019 Feb 28th. Since the course runs from the website, this means the courses will become inaccessible.

Great program - Justin the teacher is perfect for this. Entertaining and engaging for kids. Does a great job taking it super slow and explaining everything in detail.

My 10 year old son LOVED this!! He devoted every free minute to this class (even waking up early). He finished it in six weeks, and hes asking to start one of Youth Digitals other courses. He really learned a lot. Working with Java has taught him to pay more attention to detail in other areas (punctuation, spelling). It was definitely money well spent. I highly recommend it. Right now, you can save a little bit of money by just downloading it from Youth Digitals website, but you wont have a nice box to wrap.

Youth Digital is user friendly and has effective teaching techniques and excellent customer service. It was a positive self esteem promoting experience that resulted in a real Mod. And as the parent I witnessed my 9 year old childs level of satisfaction and personal pride reach new levels. Thank you Youth Digital. We have just started our second course.

Ten year old son loves it! He finds the video lessons entertaining and likes taking quizes in order to earn specialty items. My husband and I have no Java experience. When my son has questions, he emails the support team. I love that he is also learning to formulate his questions in order to get answers. We will be looking at Youth Digitals other courses too.

Great presentation and organization of learning modules, and the kids laughed all the way through.
