Zoo Med Wood Tortoise House

This item is GREAT!! Easy to put together, takes like 10 minutes. It works perfect, holds in the soil no problem and keeps in the heat pretty well. the top doors latch as well making sure your tortoise stays safe! You can have lamps directly on the wire top or held above it, both work without any problem. My tortoise doesnt really use the back room a lot but he definitely likes his indoor home.

Good product my tortoise loves it she basically runs in circles in it. It makes her look small so not sure if it’s just big or she’s small compared to it either way she’s happy I’m happy

This house is the perfect size for our tortoise. It has plenty of room for the water bowl, food bowl, basking rock, and log to hide under. We put hay in the enclosed portion and our tortoise burrowed in and hibernated for over a month. Heating and UV lamps can sit right on top of the wire portion of the lid.

I bought a new cage for our little cold blooded tortoise. Out of the bat, you need to follow closely the assembly instructions, if you dont pieces wont fit. Even then some pieces are longer than they should, I did a few pictures of the mismatch lengths. Overall it aint a major issue, but it would be better if the sizes were accurate. As other posters have pointed out wood is on the cheap side, and some wood might come splint. Again this aint in itself a major concern unless its on a key section, youll be fine. Now the wood is on the cheap side, so I took extra steps to protect it, first I stain it dark wood (to match my furniture) and then I applied lacquer. To add longevity to this cage I did the mat on the bottom. Overall I give it a 4 star but I might a 3.5 would be more accurate. It aint bad, its just a standard wood cage with soft wood and a few mismatch corners. It looks very nice and time will tell if its a $100 dollar bill worth. But Im happy for my buddy so a 4 star fits the bill. I took some pics for you to see. Enjoy a good buy overall.

I dont normally write reviews but I wanted to after seeing all the negative ones. I have a hatchling box turtle that Im bringing inside for the winter. This box was super easy to assemble- it took my husband maybe 20 minutes. Fits together nice and everything lined up well. We had absolutely no issues. If youve ever built something yourself, you shouldnt have any problem with this. Very happy with my purchase. I did add peel and stick tiles to the bottom but theyre not sticking great so I might end up removing them. I think thats a problem with the cheap tiles I bought. Also, I paid full price for this and received NO incentives to post this review.

The tortoise loves his extra room. Seems really happy in his new home. Easy to put together and looks really nice.

This really is a great tortoise table. I was going to build my own but after seeing this one and pricing out material costs I decided to just buy it because there wasnt much of a difference in price. Once my red foot gets bigger I will buy a second one to add on to this one. These are perfect for when the weather gets to cold and my little guy cant be outside anymore.

Bought 2 and my torts love them! I lined them with peel and stick laminate flooring to prevent any leakage.
