I think this tortoise house is truly amazing!!! It was very easy to assemble! I purchased two and placed them together so my two russian tortoises have about six feet of space to explore. I lined the houses with pond liner so it would keep the wood from getting wet. The hide house is great so when the turles want to get some peace or get out of the heat they have a large place to be. I am going to order a third house this weekend for the summer months outside. The house comes with secure locks to keep my tortoises safe and they will not be able to dig out and they will be able to enjoy the summer sun! I would recommend this house to all tortoise owners! You will get a beautiful home for your money!!!

This house didnt line up to all the holes which made it lopsided afterwards. Pieces kept breaking off and now its all in pieces. No warranty or exchange or any way to contact seller. Save your money for quality house

This is the perfect home for our Russian Tortoise! I only gave it 4 stars because the wood was unfinished (a bit rough) and some of the pre-drilled holes didnt line up exactly, too. Anyway, I sanded it down and sealed it with a non toxic eco friendly wood sealant. Then I lined the bottom and sides with peel and stick tile and added aquarium paper with a garden scene secured with double stick tape. I also added a mesh window screen to the lid to keep bugs and little toys out (weve got 2 girls with a lot of Shopkins) Overall, Im very happy-it was well worth the extra effort.

This was easy to put together. It looks great and Morris (my tortoise) seems to really enjoy it!

The concept of these Boxes is nice. I own two of them and really do like the set up. Heres the issue- they dont last. Not at all. The boxes are not made to handle potential moisture. Little spills of water- or worse urine- and the bottom of this wood structure will begin to expand and contract. Which leads to warping- and smell. I did contact the company ZooMed about this and was told we do replace the bottom of these boxes but the buyer pays shipping. This to me says we know the boxes are faulty and do not last. Needless to say the quote they gave me on shipping was 39$.... thats laughable. Basically they are selling you a set up designed to fail and waiting for you to contact them for a replacement peice so that they can further profit from the poor design. I can buy a peice of wood to fit the bottom of the box for much less then 39$. But honestly the sides of the box toward the bottom are not doing well either - even with meticulous cleaning and covering the bottom with plastic. The cheap wood just cant take the heat and even the slightest moisture. Save yourself the headache and dont buy this box! Design your own with nicer materials that will last more then 6 months.
