Greater than one weekIm an admittedly novice woodworker, using this to shape the neck of my first guitar build. I was amazed at how quickly Ive been able to get the shape where I want it, and as others have said it leaves the surface smooth enough that sanding wont be a laborious job either. Love it.

> 3 dayThis is a great wood rasp, the double sides make it easy to go from removing a lot to less easily. The blades has stayed sharp for a while now, going to buy another for my son.

> 3 dayA great inexpensive tool that can move a lot of wood. It is really a stack of hack-saw blades, coarse on one side and fine on the other. It is not as smooth a finish as a high quality cabinet rasp, but it will remove wood very quickly without clogging up like a rasp does. Great for initial shaping.

Greater than one weekThis tool is great for trim, when you need to take a little more off than sandpaper can handle. Careful with it though, I got a little aggressive with it and it jumped onto my thumb, barely got it but still took some skin. Operator error

> 3 dayFile came quickly, price was great, and it is as described! I use mine to make guitar necks. It makes quick work out of shaping.

> 3 dayIt works great the only complaint is when you really put pressure on it it racks to one side or the other. It needs some type of bracing but it is a great quality tool

> 3 dayI just received this rasp today, and I was a little surprised by the looks, but boy does this thing work! I reshaped the handle on a new Carpenters axe in just a few minutes. Cuts really aggressively on the course side but smooths out nicely with the fine side. If you work on tool handles this rasp is the best Ive found so far. So much better than the shoe rasp or four-in-hand rasps Ive been using.
