> 3 dayTHIS RASP CAN BE QUITE AGGRESSIVE AT REMOVING WASTAGE WITH CERTAIN CONTROL OF WHAT YOU WANT REMOVED. GREAT FOR WORK ESPECIALLY IN TIGHT AREAS WHEN POWER TOOLS MAY NOT BE AN OPTION.

> 3 dayIm starting to reach for this rasp more than my others. Its not like my others are slouches either. I work with hand tools mostly so I have an assortment of quality rasps and files. I thought this was cheap looking with the plastic handle and the design with the blades and also the price. Ive paid more than double for some of my other rasps. Dont be fooled though. Despite its looks, this thing performs top notch. It does a variety of things as well. Dont listen to other reviewers saying it can only flatten a surface. This is selling it way short of its potential. If you know how to use rasps and files you will have no problem with figuring out how to make this thing so whatever you want. Just last night I tried using for tuning up an outside corner on crown molding. And it worked very well! Pretty surprising! If that doesnt tell you all you need to know I dont know what else will. Sometimes you just have to try things out to see whats possible. This thing is a keeper and Ill be buying both sizes!

> 3 dayIve owned this rasp for a few years and always liked it. Both sides rapidly remove wood, crossing glue drips like nobodys business and never gumming up. You can develop a touch for using this to produce a pretty fine finish for a rasp. Skew cuts are key. My recent project is a laminated plywood trestle table. I am away from home and limited to a jig saw and circular saw on top of sawhorses. I had considered using an angle grinder with a sanding attachment but am really glad I used this rasp instead. It isnt as fast, but I have way more control and no chance of those little oops moments that can come with the angle grinder. I gave it my best freehand effort, but you can see in the pics that my plywood edges are far from even. I didnt measure but would guess the uneven edges were from 1/16 to 1/8 inch high. The top of the legs from center post to foot is about 2x2x13. Taking my time, this rasp took it from uneven glue lines to ready for 100 grit sanding in six minutes. I expect I will further develop my touch with this rasp through this project and shape pieces much more quickly. Also, there is no motor flinging sawdust into the air. I like the quiet and oneness-with-the-wood of using this hand tool, too. .
