9 Shinto Saw Rasp

Greater than one weekRemoves wood efficiently and evenly, I prefer this to any traditional rasp I ever used. I have learned to move it at an angle to the work piece rater than push it straight forward. This results in less resistance to movement and cleaner lines.

> 3 dayI love this rasp! Im a bowyer and this makes reducing staves a breeze. One side has coarse teeth and the other has fine teeth. I wish I had come across this rasp years ago. My one and only complaint is that it needs some type of front handle to keep your hand off of the blade.

> 3 dayI like that its very easy to use for rounding small corners and edges. And has an accurate easy of effort. Its comfortable on your hand as well.

> 3 dayIm building a small boat and needed a way to even the sides and the chines to be able to attach the bottom. Im terrible at sharpening plane irons, so I needed some sort of rasp better than the 4-in-1 file/rasp that I already had. I decided to give this one a try, and it was perfect for the job. And now Im finding it great for rounding the bottom edges in preparation for fiberglass and epoxy.

> 3 dayFirst of all, this is one of those special tools that makes a maker want to make. It has quickly become as standard to my primary toolbox as a hammer. Its the kind of thing nobody else on the job site has, (at first at least) and they quickly come to covet. I walk taller since I aquired this rasp. It just works. It has a fine side and a rough side that preform equally flawlessly. ****THE ONLY CAUTION, BE CAREFUL. I TORE SOME FLESH FROM THE KNUCKLE OF MY THUMB IN A MOMENT OF INATTENTION, NASTY**** This is a well made, grown up tool that I now consider essential. Worth every hapenny.

> 3 dayWorks for exactly as I need it. Takes off just enough material not too little or too much.

> 3 dayBought this for my son and he thought I was nuts. Then he used it. A convert like me, when my wife bought one for the boat I am building. First, I had to finish the household jobs before I could start the boat. Zipped right threw them with this tool and then it was onto the boat! There are few tools that I would recommend for being on a desert island but this is one of them.

> 3 dayThis is a great rasp, the course side is great for removing material more quickly and the fine side gets it smooth enough to finish off with a file and sand paper.
