I guess this is what I get for expecting a $349 computer to be decent. The mousepad literally quit working. Ive searched on the acer site and various other sites and reinstalled the the trackpad drivers. Nothing. I had to buy a mouse to plug in to use this. So its not good for use when you fly or travel. Also, you cant get access to change or remove the battery. Its basically a disposable computer. Starts up quickly. Serves the general purpose.

Overall, this is a solid laptop. Nothing too fancy, but not bad at all. The only issue that I have with it, is that the sound is very low even with the volume all the way up. For instance, the sound of one of those cheap $20 box fans is louder than the laptop while it is directly in my face, so Im probably gonna get a Bluetooth speaker for it. Also, it doesnt have a light to let you know if caps lock is active or not. Besides that, its pretty good.

When I got this laptop, the F keys were automatically preset to their functions instead of simply being F keys. Normally, you have to hold Fn and hit an F key to use the function, but it was reversed on this machine. Also, the keyboard backlight turned itself off after 20 seconds of inactivity whether or not it was plugged in. It kind of defeats the purpose of a backlit keyboard, in my opinion, when you cant see the keys before you start typing.

From the beginning this laptop had a decently large white spot on the screen. I dealt with it and said whatever since the laptop was cheap. Now the trackpad isnt registering clicks and its extremely annoying. Next time Ill think twice about buying a cheap Acer.

Bought this for my fiance whos been using my gaming rig for schoolwork. Very nice laptop... Screen is awesome, looks good, comes with SSD and ddr4 memory. Purchased on sale for $250 and added an extra stick of 4 gig ram for another $20. This runs just as good as a $500 laptop and also has an empty slot to add another 2.5 hdd.
