Big screen but bad lcd

We have barely used this laptop...maybe has 30 hours on it at the most. My daughter used it last week for school and it was just fine. She went to turn it on this week and the screen was black. The keyboard lit up and the battery light turned on, but tried the F2,F9,F10 Enter, and nothing. It is not just the LCD screen, as the power button will not work as well.

I needed to replace my 9 year old HP laptop without all the bells and whistles that you have to pay for in a 15 inch screen and under $500. This laptop has all the requirements that I wanted. Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus Word and XCEL documents opens up in less than a second. The laptop has a very fast boot-up or shutdown operations. The WiFi has either the 2.4 or 5 GB selection, plus a full screen HD 1080 display and blue tooth capability. The only missing option I was looking for but really not needed was the SD card reader, however, with an optional USB SD adapter not needed anymore.

Good laptop just cant be used for too much.

The internet on this laptop was incredibly slow. On the same day that I received it, it took over 2 minutes to load up a single page in Internet Explorer and Firefox. My old computer isn’t even that slow. I was on the phone with technical support for an hour and they couldn’t fix it. So sadly I am returning this laptop.

I like everything about this laptop. It is excellent, I am very happy with it. Just what I wanted for work.

got it for 399 on black friday, was considering a chromebook as all I needed was chrome, this blows away anything I would have gotten, definitely recommend. solid keyboard, good trackpad, speakers arent bad, boots quickly and ips screen is good.

This laptop starts up so quickly and I love it! I bought it to use for grad school. It chose to get the model without Microsoft Office as I got a free student version of Microsoft Office. I dont use it to game but I do use it occasionally to watch videos. The graphics are just ok but what was expected for this model.

I bought this computer to replace my old Windows 7 desktop. It seems to be a great laptop except for the fact that the Internet will not stay connected. i bought a wi-fi dongle and it worked with that for a while. Today it started dropping the Internet every 15 seconds. Turned my old computer on which has the same w-fi dongle and everything is working fine so it is not my Internet. UPDATE - The Internet will keep working if I keep the power cord plugged in. I adjusted the battery adapter settings for the Internet to the lowest settings which is supposed to fix this problem but, even with a full charge, the Internet keeps dropping. This is the same with or without the wi-fi dongle so I am guessing the laptop has a problem. It is ok for me as I mainly use my laptop at my desk, but for those who want more portability this would not be such a good buy. Lots of people seem to have this problem so I wish whoever makes this computer would take heed and fix this problem.

Have had this laptop for over a month now and am really happy with it. I use it primarily for doing online college courses. I like that it’s thin and lightweight. Speed is good. Starts up very quickly. Does everything that I need it to and looks good too with the chrome color!
