My fiancee didnt want to spend this much on a computer but I wanted her to have something she would like and be able to use for a long time. Shes loves this laptop. The battery life is great, its light, the perfect size, and very fast. She just uses it for basic stuff like email and spreadsheets and whatnot but it would easily run more complex programs. Takes about 15 seconds to boot up and less time to connect to our VPN which is her favorite part. When its time for me to get a new laptop this will be it.

Well the brains at Acer decided to ship this laptop with the letters R and E reversed on the keyboard. They felt it was their mission to use this approach h to remind people to recycle and reuse! Crazy. I want to return this laptop if they do not offer new normal keys

The laptop is very fast with Core i7 CPU and 16 GB RAM and works great. One aspect that I do not like is that the ecological material is not what I expected. In the future I will see if the material is resistant.

I have been using HP for the last few laptops. I need the touch screen and the pinch zoom. This didnt have that. The design wasnt as comfortable as HP. The plastic seemed harder and cheaper. I had read Acer was one of the best processors. I returned it with no problem, Love Amazons return policies. I always say you get what you pay for. This was quite inexpensive, but that showed. I am fortunate that I could afford to exchange for a more expensive HP. But it has the features I really need. I have arthritis and poor eyesight. So, the extras are so beniful for me.

The Acer is perfect for our needs. It is fast and easy to use, we can see the keys easily and they also light up. Very satisfied with our purchase.

New Aspire5 arrived with with non-functioning fingerprint security feature. Struggled with Acer for two days then finally was able to get it shipped to Temple TX repair - but not until Acer tried to get me to pay for shipping. Lots of shouting got them to issue pre-paid shipping label. Took a week to get it back, arrived with same problem. Still trying to get it fixed. Acer wants it back again at TX repair. Every phone call and attempt to get Acer to fix this has been total frustration. One incompetence after another. Theyve had the computer longer than Ive had it.
