I dont usually write reviews, but after experiencing this laptop for just a week, I could not believe how well it performs for a $500 machine. I dont use it as a laptop, per se, but Remote Desktop into it from my Mac to do software development. I upgraded the RAM to a total of 24 GB and the SSD to 2 TB. But even before the upgrade, this machine is usually silent (though there are a few times the loud fan kicks in). I do need to say that, with the Windows 11 version that came with it, the fan did kick in more often than Id like, but after updating to the latest version of Windows 11, the machine completely changed, and became silent and much faster.

It’s fast and works very well for the price. I can surf the web, check emails, watch videos, do my college assignments, and even play The Sims 4 with no issues. The only thing I don’t like is that the R and E keys are backwards. That’s so unnecessary and very annoying. I almost returned the laptop because of this. It just irks me so much.

I had to buy a laptop with little time to research. We got a new hire at work starting in a couple of days, so I jumped on Amazon to find a good-spec laptop and stumbled on this one. It had all the hardware I ever need so I bought it.

I have been using HP for the last few laptops. I need the touch screen and the pinch zoom. This didnt have that. The design wasnt as comfortable as HP. The plastic seemed harder and cheaper. I had read Acer was one of the best processors. I returned it with no problem, Love Amazons return policies. I always say you get what you pay for. This was quite inexpensive, but that showed. I am fortunate that I could afford to exchange for a more expensive HP. But it has the features I really need. I have arthritis and poor eyesight. So, the extras are so beniful for me.

Because of the Eco crap they reversed the letters on the e and r keys. That sometimes messes me up and I reverse the letters. The case looks like recycled crap plastic. It works fine but I wouldnt buy another one. I also dont like the layout of the number pad. The period and the zero are reversed and the slash is up too high.

I was pleasantly surprised by the screen quality. Advertised at 250 nits brightness, so I was concerned it may not be enough, but the screen resolution and brightness are fine. The build quality is solid; 16 GB onboard comparable in price to many 8GB systems. Well built. The enviornmental green pitch did not influence my decision to buy or keep. Being able to upgrade to 64GB RAM was a plus. Also I like the 2.8- 5.0 GHZ CPU much better than the Ryzen 7 8-core at 1.9 to 4.3. I would have bought this one in the first place instead of the HP Ryzen 7 that I sent back given what I know now. I am very happy with the quality, performance, price

Easily upgradable, fast, no nonsense lap top. I updated DDR to 40 gig. I use it mostly for recording music. For everyday use, its a perfect laptop, despite W11. I tried some xbox games on it, no issues, however, this is not a gaming laptop, keep that in mind.

This laptop looks more of an olive-drab greenish color in person with neon yellow specks in the plastic. I think the environmental stuff is a little far-fetched considering the impact made by making these, their batteries, etc. but I digress. The weird backwards R and E keys threw me at first but its another little hip nod to the environmental focus for this machine.
