Love it so far. Texture and feel are very cool. Not really a high end gaming PC but it will play some stuff. Solid laptop.

Acer isnt known for making th best laptops but this is alright and the specs are quite good. Its probably not the best you could for the money or maybe it is but I found no issues with it. There was some typical bloat ware and it could have used more metal in the case but its a working computer as you would expect. I would look for side by side tests of this hardware with similar computers to see how the cooling and design fairs if you were shopping around

Update: Opened it up, today 3/2/2023. Found out that it is pretty simple inside. A Kingston NVME which is good, though no dram cache, and I also found a very very beefy cooler though there is a caveat. Normally, a cooler contacts the onboard iGPU as well as the cpu, but there was no contact with the iGPU and the plate was cut to avoid it. I think the design, which has solder points for a embedded graphics card, with two ram chip spots, a gpu socket, and power delivery traces on the board, was meant to be routed over the embedded gpu. That would mean that the iGPU didnt need to be cooled. I was able to fix the lack of contact with a heat pad, I think a 0.5 thickness pad. It was not a high thermal transfer style, but anything thicker than 0.5 would cause a lack of contact with the CPU and thermal control would become a issue. The beefy cooler offers a dual fan setup, which is well made, and a lengthy fin array to dissipate heat delivered from two wide heat pipes that seem routed to perfectly go over where a embedded GPU would be. The whole thing is quite a stretch, but can easily keep the CPU cool, and that now include the iGPU which doesnt seem to be monitored by the motherboard.

I was impressed with mine. Although it has an issue with the trackpad not responding properly, but Im swapping it out for a new one, and Im excited about it getting here.

As much as everyone talks about AI, these computers seem to be dumb. I understand that this is a quad core but there is no difference in response time between my google chrome book and this computer for surfing the web and watching youtube . There is no reason on planet earth why a computer should deplete its battery life in 3-5 hours on energy saver mode when surfing the net since google or any other site is optimized in providing results in a fraction of a second regardless of computer being used.

This is a long-term review after about six months of use where I have taken it to a couple of different countries, and a few more layovers with long waiting times, where it was a very welcomed companion.

I gave this laptop 4 stars because there are indeed a few things that I find lacking. But overall, its an excellent buy for the money. It was the best deal that I found at the time that had the major components I was looking for, which are, the most current i7 processor, adequate RAM, and solid state hard drive. The slight drawbacks are, the battery life. It doesnt last nearly as long as I would like it to when unplugged. Secondly the screen resolution, while not bad, is not as good as the portable monitors that I own that are of the same resolution and type. Lastly, one of the major exhaust vents is located just below the monitor on top of the keyboard. When its on, you, and everyone around you can hear it. Quite honestly, its annoying, but its not a deal breaker for me. Overall, this laptop is definitely a good buy for the money. I dont really care about all the environmentally friendly stuff. I honestly think thats more gimmick than it is anything else.

Awesome laptop for the monies, I updated to the ram to 24g and also installed 1tb ssd. Loving it thus far, I truly cant complain. Having a darn time getting the new 1tb ssd to be recognized when updating from 512gb to 1tb laptop not seeing the drive. But I think is and issue with me, hope I didnt receive a bad drive. Battery life well, thats the only drawback for me. Streaming eats it alive, only getting about 2 1/2 to 3hrs of usage. Overall the laptop itself is great for the value, thank you.
