Acer Chromebook R 11 Convertible, 11.6-Inch HD Touch, Intel Celeron N3150, 4GB DDR3L, 32GB, CB5-132T-C1LK, Denim White

We bought this for my husband to use for military classes. It can use some programs but its like using a tablet instead of a normal laptop.

The mouse pad is intermittent and frustrating; sometimes quick, sometimes slow, sometime doesnt work at all.

I bought two of these Chromebooks for the express purpose of having back to basics computers for social media and e-mail that I could toss into a bag or onto the couch without that oh no factor you get if you were to do that to a Mac or ultrabook. I love the white plastic body, and the keyboard as well as trackpad were a nice surprise, I was expecting netbook quality for both, but the keyboard was firm and crisp, and the touchpad functioned fine, although there was definitely a sloppy feel to it (if youre looking for it), but not unusable at all. Touchscreen and an SD slot as well? Yes please. The hinge was also cool, although I mostly used these Chromebooks in regular laptop mode unless I was playing with the hinge or showing it to someone. My only issue with this Chromebook model is the quality of the screen - you definitely notice the low res of it, both had a definite red saturation. and I had flashlighting on both of these that made black screens and movies somewhat difficult to watch if youre particular about your screen quality. Still, this is a great Chromebook model, while I would like to see Chromebooks with GPS in them for Android apps, this one ran non-GPS Android apps without a problem, and also ran Ubuntu fine with Crouton. Id recommend this Chromebook for someone who is looking for a basic computer that can run Android apps and multiple Chrome tabs without a skipping a beat, and who isnt particular about screen quality.

I received a used product in a torn and dirty box that was only held together by copious amounts of tape, everything was sloppily shoved back in its packaging and all the ties were loosely hand tightened, the last straw was the trackpad which was loose and wobbly and the plastic very sticky (you know when you run your finger over something and it has unpleasant surface resistance and squeaks? like wet porcelain or something) when you ran your finger across it.

This chromebook is just right for someone who needs a computer that is easy to take on the go, has a great battery life, and gets basic needs fulfilled. Its not a gaming computer, dont expect it to have the RAM to move mountains. It streams, it loads pages quick. I love the operating system, I travel for work and I can keep my files organized easily.

I love my chromebook more than I thought I would. Just fantastic.

Have had to return to manufacturer multiple times for hardware failures. Would not recommend.
