AMD Ryzen 5 1600 65W AM4 Processor with Wraith Stealth Cooler (YD1600BBAFBOX)

For the price I bought it $100 usd, this chip has preformed great, it’s overlocked well( yours may not) and can tear through all workloads I give it. However for just gaming I’d say get a 3100 or 3300x as it’s much quicker for that, and with 5000 series out the 3000 series chips should drop in price next year so I’d hold off unless you need this now.

If you live in the US, and you are thinking on getting a budget pc, this is the absolute best value. Performance of a 2600 for 30 dollars less. Pair it with a 580 or 1650 super for the best entry level gaming experience on the market.

Works great. Used it with the gaming computer my son and I built for Christmas. I was devastated to find that it is not supported by Windows 11. I guess well have to upgrade in another 4 years.

Mine OCs all cores to 4.1 on 1.3v stable in games and stress tests. Puts it right in line with 2600x. Im so glad AMD is flying this thing in under the radar by naming it like last gen chip. It was a screaming deal when it was $85.-.

if you dont want to spend alot this is great for a starter pc.
