Honestly if you want a system and are contemplating this or the 3300x, go for this if in stock, because the two are neck in neck and this offers more versatility with regard to the extra 2 cores, 4 threads, that can be used for unique gaming workloads or anything skillful, like video editing.

This is an $85 CPU being marked up near 100% by 3rd parties. Do not buy; do not support the ridiculous practice of buying up and hoarding stock so they can sell at astronomical prices. Wait for the next refresh rumored to hit soon with the 3100x, so prices can drop back down again,

Best chip at this price point, totally leveling the competition(even internally) . These chip are 12nm dies, and perform right below at 2600. With an overclock you easily can raise clocks to 2600 levels, and a lot of people are getting 4-4.1ghz in the 1.3v range, though there are still some that canonly do 3.8-3.9 so dont expect that from all. Seems like at least some of these batches are valid 6 core dies binned straight to the 1600, instead of being dies that didnt make the 2600 bins cut. Lot of variance, which you really dont see with most amd. Many of these chips could of made the bin for 2600/2600x it seems.
