> 3 dayEverything came as pictured. Followed the directions BUT if the room is hot it doesnt really cool it down but for a few minutes. Not worth what we paid for it.

> 3 dayI would rate it higher, but the power cord it came with doesnt really work with it. I thought it broke, but it was actually the power cord that stopped working. I ordered a different one and tried using the same cord and it didnt work either. Thats when I realized the power cord had crapped out, not the unit itself. So now I have to return the other one I bought and get a better power cord for it. I like it because it does what its meant to do though. I have it on the table next to my bed for when I sleep. I need it pretty cold to sleep comfortably, because I over heat easily when I sleep. My dog usually gets out of bed because she gets too hot too, but now with this she stays in bed with me most of the night so I feel like my dog likes it too. I like the night light option, it looks cool and its not too bright to sleep with, but its bright enough to see by when you wake up in the night. I also feel like it acts as a humidifier because I notice that the humidity in my reptile enclosures dont drop as much at night any more and I know thats probably good for all my plants too. If youre expecting it to significantly cool a room it wont do that, but it drops the room temp by a couple degrees after its been on a while, but when youve got it pointed directly at you it will definitely cool you off.

> 3 dayI oredred this expecting it to cool the whole room so I was disappointed when I realized that it couldnt do that. However, this is perfect for personal cooling. I leave it on my desk and have it pointed at me all day. I have never been hot in my room since this product. It does get a little noisy and the sound leaks into my mic when I am talking tho. Overall great product.

> 3 dayI’ve bought third-party knockoff versions of arctic air evaporator coolers that operated 10 times better than this damn thing, it offers cooling air yes but it leaks water all over the place. It’s truly a badly designed unit that I cannot recommend.

> 3 dayComparing the negative reviews to the positive reviews to my own experience, its pretty clear that most of the people giving this thing a bad review didnt realize what they were actually buying. This will NOT air condition your entire house. Its basically just a small fan that blows colder air than a regular fan at you. Like regular fans, that means will not cool off your entire house or apartment, but it will keep the area in front of it cool. And its amazing! We put it on the ottoman in front of the couch while watching tv, and having a regular floor fan behind us with this thing in front was way cooling, much better than the fan by itself. Its not going to replace an actual air conditioner on a super hot day, but its got just enough cooling power to be really helpful if you cant use an a/c (maybe because you live in an apartment and technically arent allowed to have one, or you cant afford to buy one because yiiiiikes theyre expensive). But its really helpful for if a fan just isnt enough to cool you down. Also because of its small size, I find I prefer using it to fans when its a little cooler out. Sometimes fans are obnoxious, theyre loud, they blow things over, but this little thing doesnt have the blowing power to knock all your papers off your desk like a big floor fan does. I like to just have it on the ottoman blowing on my propped-up feet. Its supreme. I see some people complaining about how you cant turn the lights off, but you can. You need to keep hitting the light button, you have to cycle through all the light options but theres an off option at the end of them. The lights that indicate what settings are on dont turn off, but theyre really minor - like, they arent really bright. I especially like that this thing is small enough that it wont be hard to store somewhere in winter when it presumably wont be needed, unlike those big oscillating fans which are awkward to find a place for. Cons: On the highest settings its kind of noisy, but its a steady noise level so its easy to learn to tune out and turn the tv volume up over. Also the plug for it gets EXTREMELY hot after its been on. I dont think its necessarily a fire hazard, but I would give it a few minutes after you turn it off before you unplug it from the wall. All in all, if you know what to expect from this little guy, you will really enjoy it and appreciate it. Dont go into this thinking its a $35 air conditioner that will put your entire home into the arctic circle. It will give a nice cold blast to the area about 6 feet in front of it, which cools more efficiently than a fan but isnt as effective as an actual air conditioner. This guy is an air *cooler*. Side note: Youre encouraged to put ice cubes in the fill thing, and it can take an entire tray of ice cubes to fill it up!

Greater than one weekThis works great for my situation. My husband is elder with health issues. He is very cold natured. Needs house to be warm. I am just the opposite, hot natured. If you follow the instructions it will last a good 8 hours. It allows me to stay cool and still keep my husband comfortable

> 3 dayYou get what you pay for, can be semi loud but it does cool you down a bit. Adding ice and freezing the filter is the best way to do it, but if you don’t then it’s just a fan and nothing special.
