    Greater than one week

Works far better than the random one I bought from Walmart in 2018. It helps me sleep at my girlfriends house who does not have ac in her bedroom. It absolutely will cool you off but it’s only for one person. Only drawback is the tray that holds the filter can be extremely frustrating to remove and put back in. Yes it leaks water, they all do, it pushes water out the front so it’s obviously going to get wet at least this one has a filter and tray to catch the water. Don’t put any exposed wires near it and you’ll be fine it’s an amazing product for small space/personal cooling. Sitting 2-4 feet away directly in front of it for 10-20 minutes with the device set on high will actually make you shiver.

First off - this isn’t an air conditioner, it’s a swamp cooler - that is spun air going over iced water. So it does throw off a cooler burst of air than a dry fan. It’s small but operates admirably. It’s powered by a USB cable that is only about 14” long. I had to buy a longer one. The bad: It’s cheap plastic and one of my vents was broken. It leaks and so you need to put a towel under it. It’s powered by a USB but it’s not chargeable. It has to be connected to power. So in-all it’s okay. I got one for a van and to be used with a fan to create a cooler breeze. It’s fine. It was cheap after-all. I’d return it but is was only $30 and would be a hassle to repack. I wanted to note the good and bad for future buyers.

I am extremely disappointed with this product. This is the first 2.0 that I have purchased and it being a 2.0 you would think that it would be better than the original but it isnt. I purchased this product last week and hooked it up as soon as I received it. To my surprise midway through the night my floor was wet from it leaking and my room was hot. The original version of this product worked great but unfortunately I cant say the same for this one.

my air conditioner in my apartment has been out for 2.5 weeks. supposedly they ordered a new A/C unit to replace ours, but it still hasnt been replaced. luckily it had been cool enough outside to crack the window to let some air in at night and i could get some sleep. it is the end of november but still 80+ degrees F in florida. i bought this out of desperation to help me get some sleep. i would absolutely recommend this to anyone who needs some relief. it definitely is not strong enough to cool my whole apartment, but it is perfect for me to get some rest and have by my bed and feel comfortable. i made sure to freeze the filter before the first use, as well as put ice and cold water from the fridge in the reservoir. this works perfectly for helping you cool down in a warm situation where a regular fan isnt cutting it. it is worth buying as an inexpensive option, but obviously is not as good as an A/C unit that costs a couple hundred bucks. i have the tshirt rag under it as the foam feet on the bottom left tiny scuffs on my table and i wanted to prevent more. the scuffs came off with water and a paper towel, so no big deal

Comparing the negative reviews to the positive reviews to my own experience, its pretty clear that most of the people giving this thing a bad review didnt realize what they were actually buying. This will NOT air condition your entire house. Its basically just a small fan that blows colder air than a regular fan at you. Like regular fans, that means will not cool off your entire house or apartment, but it will keep the area in front of it cool. And its amazing! We put it on the ottoman in front of the couch while watching tv, and having a regular floor fan behind us with this thing in front was way cooling, much better than the fan by itself. Its not going to replace an actual air conditioner on a super hot day, but its got just enough cooling power to be really helpful if you cant use an a/c (maybe because you live in an apartment and technically arent allowed to have one, or you cant afford to buy one because yiiiiikes theyre expensive). But its really helpful for if a fan just isnt enough to cool you down. Also because of its small size, I find I prefer using it to fans when its a little cooler out. Sometimes fans are obnoxious, theyre loud, they blow things over, but this little thing doesnt have the blowing power to knock all your papers off your desk like a big floor fan does. I like to just have it on the ottoman blowing on my propped-up feet. Its supreme. I see some people complaining about how you cant turn the lights off, but you can. You need to keep hitting the light button, you have to cycle through all the light options but theres an off option at the end of them. The lights that indicate what settings are on dont turn off, but theyre really minor - like, they arent really bright. I especially like that this thing is small enough that it wont be hard to store somewhere in winter when it presumably wont be needed, unlike those big oscillating fans which are awkward to find a place for. Cons: On the highest settings its kind of noisy, but its a steady noise level so its easy to learn to tune out and turn the tv volume up over. Also the plug for it gets EXTREMELY hot after its been on. I dont think its necessarily a fire hazard, but I would give it a few minutes after you turn it off before you unplug it from the wall. All in all, if you know what to expect from this little guy, you will really enjoy it and appreciate it. Dont go into this thinking its a $35 air conditioner that will put your entire home into the arctic circle. It will give a nice cold blast to the area about 6 feet in front of it, which cools more efficiently than a fan but isnt as effective as an actual air conditioner. This guy is an air *cooler*. Side note: Youre encouraged to put ice cubes in the fill thing, and it can take an entire tray of ice cubes to fill it up!

Every quarter, at work, we have to spend a significant amount of time in one small room completing a specific task involving machinery giving off heat, and an exterior wall absorbing the summer sun and radiating into the room making it extremely hot in there. It is connected to our air circulating system, but that just doesnt cut the mustard in the summer! The other day, someone brought one of these little jewels into that room and it made a world of difference!! It does put out a surprising amount of coolth! Its been very tolerable in there all week long. I do have an actual window mount A/C at home, but it only works for about half of my space. Which is fine during the day as its the Living Room/Kitchen/Dining area. But...my off rooms, bedroom and computer room, dont benefit from the air unless I string fans and run them forcing air down the hall and then split it into those rooms. And that only works to a certain point. When it hits the 90s, that pretty much stops being effective. After having the one at work and seeing how great this unit works, I not only bought one locally for my computer room, but I ordered one from Amazon for my bedroom. I know from what Ive experienced at work that these will be exactly what I need to make those rooms bearable when Im using them. My bedroom wasnt as bad, but my computer room has direct Southern exposure AND it gets direct radiant heat from the paved parking area out front. So it gets to hot to spend much time in there during the summer. And...with temps forecast to hit the mid-upper 90s in the upcoming week, and with nighttime temps only dropping into the mid-upper 60s, they will most definitely be a comfort saver!!

Its great. I bought two - one for my computer desk as the computer room gets hotter than the rest of the house and one for my husbands desk out in the garage. Only had them a couple of days, but so far, GREAT!

Upon first use, I found the unit easy to use without reading the directions. I would suggest distilled water to keep down contaminants. It does what it says I am well pleased with the unit overall. The only thing in the description that I was a little mislead to think it had a built in battery pack so you could use it just about anywhere. Cant give 5 stars for that reason. If you want to take this camping and use inside your tent or over your hammock I would suggest an external portable power pack for the unit then you would be golden. Overall I am impressed know the design is based on a swamp cooler which works better in higher humid areas than areas with low humidity. Southern states and states like AZ will find this unit great to use, Northern states may not get the same results. But was well worth the investment! Even small enough to pack away in a backpack if I want!

Believe me I know and understand HVAC, I purchased this unit because the marking guy made it sound more powerful than it really is. I tried using ICE and very little water and vice versa, It cools a small space directly around it...Approx 5ft. but will not cool a SUV where you could leave your dog in it even for a short time. The unit is quality but has very limited cooling capacity.
