> 3 dayEvery quarter, at work, we have to spend a significant amount of time in one small room completing a specific task involving machinery giving off heat, and an exterior wall absorbing the summer sun and radiating into the room making it extremely hot in there. It is connected to our air circulating system, but that just doesnt cut the mustard in the summer! The other day, someone brought one of these little jewels into that room and it made a world of difference!! It does put out a surprising amount of coolth! Its been very tolerable in there all week long. I do have an actual window mount A/C at home, but it only works for about half of my space. Which is fine during the day as its the Living Room/Kitchen/Dining area. But...my off rooms, bedroom and computer room, dont benefit from the air unless I string fans and run them forcing air down the hall and then split it into those rooms. And that only works to a certain point. When it hits the 90s, that pretty much stops being effective. After having the one at work and seeing how great this unit works, I not only bought one locally for my computer room, but I ordered one from Amazon for my bedroom. I know from what Ive experienced at work that these will be exactly what I need to make those rooms bearable when Im using them. My bedroom wasnt as bad, but my computer room has direct Southern exposure AND it gets direct radiant heat from the paved parking area out front. So it gets to hot to spend much time in there during the summer. And...with temps forecast to hit the mid-upper 90s in the upcoming week, and with nighttime temps only dropping into the mid-upper 60s, they will most definitely be a comfort saver!!

> 3 dayI bought this to aid in cooling down an extremely small bedroom - cannot fit more than a queen sized bed and two nightstands in it, only to shimmy yourself around to get to the bathroom - because the summer heat in Arizona is cray cray. Loved that it would be delivered same day (Metropolitan area for the win!). Had this little baby in 2 hours or less - and immediately opened it to set it up in said bedroom. Instructions suggest cartridge to be frozen. Well, that was a bummer; looks like I had to wait (story of my life). I soaked the cartridge, according to directions, and placed into freezer. Everything was ready for prompt usage in the am. Next morning, I woke up, did my shimmy shimmy around the bottom of the bed, and in a blink of an eye, fed the cats and made my coffee. I took the cartridge out of the freezer and inserted it into my new Artic Air Godsend. Turned it on, and waited for the cool blast that would signal the end of hell itself....and waited....and waited......nothing. Sure, it was cool, sure there was a faint trickle of air escaping the vents, but nothing like advertised; I think I breathe harder walking to the front door. I thought, maybe its just in the wrong place...after all, isnt it all about location location location? I placed the Artic Air so the air flow would be directed across the bed. And waited again (I think you can see a pattern emerging here). Still nothing. Then I remembered...Good Things Come To Those Who Wait.....I left the room, watched an episode of Enterprise (worse theme song ever! I WILL fight you on that) and returned with renewed hope. Nothing changed. I could see condensation forming on the vents so knew it had some temperature change but it definitely did not change the temperature in the room. I even thought it may have just needed a little help, after all, we get by with a little help from our friends, right? I placed a fan next to it, to give it a little more umphh, and STILL NOTHING!!!!! My heart sank, for the devil himself would be hard pressed to remain in this room during the day. In conclusion, this is not a buy I would recommend - save yourself the grief and buy a window AC unit. I know I am.

> 3 dayComparing the negative reviews to the positive reviews to my own experience, its pretty clear that most of the people giving this thing a bad review didnt realize what they were actually buying. This will NOT air condition your entire house. Its basically just a small fan that blows colder air than a regular fan at you. Like regular fans, that means will not cool off your entire house or apartment, but it will keep the area in front of it cool. And its amazing! We put it on the ottoman in front of the couch while watching tv, and having a regular floor fan behind us with this thing in front was way cooling, much better than the fan by itself. Its not going to replace an actual air conditioner on a super hot day, but its got just enough cooling power to be really helpful if you cant use an a/c (maybe because you live in an apartment and technically arent allowed to have one, or you cant afford to buy one because yiiiiikes theyre expensive). But its really helpful for if a fan just isnt enough to cool you down. Also because of its small size, I find I prefer using it to fans when its a little cooler out. Sometimes fans are obnoxious, theyre loud, they blow things over, but this little thing doesnt have the blowing power to knock all your papers off your desk like a big floor fan does. I like to just have it on the ottoman blowing on my propped-up feet. Its supreme. I see some people complaining about how you cant turn the lights off, but you can. You need to keep hitting the light button, you have to cycle through all the light options but theres an off option at the end of them. The lights that indicate what settings are on dont turn off, but theyre really minor - like, they arent really bright. I especially like that this thing is small enough that it wont be hard to store somewhere in winter when it presumably wont be needed, unlike those big oscillating fans which are awkward to find a place for. Cons: On the highest settings its kind of noisy, but its a steady noise level so its easy to learn to tune out and turn the tv volume up over. Also the plug for it gets EXTREMELY hot after its been on. I dont think its necessarily a fire hazard, but I would give it a few minutes after you turn it off before you unplug it from the wall. All in all, if you know what to expect from this little guy, you will really enjoy it and appreciate it. Dont go into this thinking its a $35 air conditioner that will put your entire home into the arctic circle. It will give a nice cold blast to the area about 6 feet in front of it, which cools more efficiently than a fan but isnt as effective as an actual air conditioner. This guy is an air *cooler*. Side note: Youre encouraged to put ice cubes in the fill thing, and it can take an entire tray of ice cubes to fill it up!

> 3 dayI live in Southern Louisiana and I have a very small , cramped bathroom that gets unbearably hot during the summer months. A pregular fan wasn’t helping at all and I wanted to try something different , but cost effective . This little a/c is perfect . I wet the filter then pop it in the freezer for about 15 mins and then add ice water into the basin and I’m able to shower and get ready for work comfortably ! It’s a simple , cost efficient way to cool down the small room . !

Greater than one weekI use this product primarily to keep myself cool while at my desk. I put ice cubes and water in it and it blows cold air in my face while Im working and its wonderful. It lowers the temperature of the air noticably and is superior to a fan. I hadnt used a swamp cooler before so take it from me: Dont use it in a closed room without ventilation. The main negatives are that it tends to make a mess on occasion if you use it for long periods. I havent spent much time troubleshooting it, but I suspect that if you use it on the Turbo setting, or use it with the maximum water flow and a low airflow setting, that a large amount of condensation develops, overfilling the shallow internal well and creating a pool of water around the bottom of the unit. This is a modest design flaw that I wish they highlighted in the manual. I am planning on designing my own pedestal for it to compensate for this.

> 3 dayCould be great in a office cubicle type setting. In my house it was no better then a fan.
