I love this fire starter! It throws huge showers of sparks, and the 1/2 inch diameter rod will probably last much longer than I will (Im 75). The striker works so well that I wonder why I ordered the carbide tool sharpener that I also purchased.

Smaller than i thought, but one of the biggest i could find, its quality. Can see getting about 3k -5k strikes with it. I Did not try it in the rain yet.
