> 24 hourThis plug is hand vacuum is so much more powerful than any cordless hand vacuum I have ever owned. It is light weight. The electric cord is very long which is another excellent feature. I will not buy a cordless vacuum again.

> 24 hourIm halfway through a 4-week stay at a hotel and Ive got my cat with me. Leading up to this transition between my old home and my new one, I was apprehensive at the thought of living in such close quarters with my cat, dealing with his hair and tracked litter. Yuck!! Ive had my Bissell handheld vac nearly 6 months but previously only used it occasionally - under normal living conditions, its the full sized vacuum that gets used. But here at the hotel I use the hand vac daily. I have a lidded plastic container for the vac. Pulling it out, plugging it in and getting rid of the bits of litter and then shoving the vac back into the container couldnt be easier. It isnt too heavy, I love the placement of the on/off switch (you can easily turn it on and off with the hand youre using to hold it) and the cord is long enough that I keep part of it wrapped up in the pre-attached velcro strip. I find that I mostly use the straight piece rather than the rubbery attachment. If anyone is contemplating living in a hotel room - or other small space - with a cat, heres how I avoid having to deal with stray pet hairs going up my nose ... I place the cat in the dry bathtub, sit on the edge, and brush him down good with his rubber Kong brush. As anyone knows who has used one of those rubber brushes, they accumulate a lot of hair and while most of it sticks to the brush some of it flies around a bit. After Im done, I use the hand vac to clean off any cat hair that has stuck to the tub. I also have a sheet that I cover the bed with during the day and in the evening I hold it over the dry tub to shake the cat hair off, then use the hand vac in there. So thats my story. Oh, and it also works great around your tv chair if you happen to scatter bits of popcorn. :)

> 24 hourThe vacuum has great suction power, its light weight and long power-cord makes it convenient to use. Its filters ridged structure is effective in catching dirt but quite tedious to clean. I wish that its accessories includes a round vacuum brush (such as showed in the photo), but unfortunately Bissel does not make one. To make the matter worse the vacuums hose attachment opening uses a non-standard 1-5/16 thus preventing use of plug-n-play aftermarket accessories & adapters. My only viable solution is to find a slightly larger diameter brush 1-3/8 and sanded down 1/16 with a Dremel rotating sander.

> 24 hourI am a review reader and was concerned about a few conflicting reviews on suction, also the outflow air blowing everything away before you could vacuum it up. I am not really having the same issues. I am using this in a fifth wheel to keep things from going south between trips home. I love it for this use. Our floors are half wood, half carpet and this does the job. The suction is very very strong. The attachments do all of the basics quite well. The only place it cannot reach is to the back of the rear couch, because nothing can really reach behind it. The cord is plenty long but I have outlets all over, so. But I don’t need to switch outlets except to change rooms. The outflow air is definitely strong like the suction. And sure, they could have changed the design with slanted louvres, or something to that effect. But being a bit mindful of which way I hold it seems to do the trick, and I haven’t had much problem with it, if any. The molded attachments seem sturdy, although the nose cup clips on with not too much of a “clip” which makes me think that too many ons and offs when emptying the debris cup will eventually wear away the “clip”. But not something I know yet so I’m just enjoying it. The vacuum so far is pretty much exactly what I wanted it to be.

> 24 hourI love this!! (Bissell 47R51) Its so easy to use, carry around, switch out attachments, and empty. At first I thought the rubber head attachment was going to be annoying to use and useless, but it is AMAZING at scraping up pet hair from carpet. I shaved my long haired dachshund in a room with a short weave carpet, and when I was done the hair was matted into the carpet all over the place (stupid oversight on my part, I know), but the bumpy rubber head attachment easily cleaned it up beautifully and only took about 5 minutes or so. The side of the HEPA filter that faces the dirt canister gets pretty gross with dirt and dust (the other side of it still looks brand new), and it cant be washed, but I just take it out and wipe it down, tap the edge, and blow out the crevices with an air can and havent had any issues. I dont feel any loss of suction so far, so I probably wont buy a new filter until that starts to happen, which I dont forsee being an issue anytime soon with my moderate use. Theres also a screen that goes over the filter and that part can be rinsed clean with water. The cord is a generous length. The hose attachment is handy and can be used as an open hose end or with one of the other attachments. The handle is a little odd since it faces forward, but the vacuum is lightweight enough that its still easily maneuverable and the design actually makes for easier access to the on/off switch. This is easily the best handheld vacuum Ive ever owned.
