> 3 dayI have bought many handheld vacuums in the past only to be disappointed with weak suction. This little vacuum has as much suction power as a regular upright!! I’ve used in my car, on steps, and blanket that my cat naps on. On every occasion, it works like a charm! Makes short work of any cleaning. Would recommend to anyone

> 3 dayI carefully read all the reviews of similar items to this one and am delighted I made the right choice. I got it today, read through the instructions, tested out how to take apart the bin, filters and attachments and gave it a whirl. What a great little vacuum! The price is excellent. Was astounded how much it picked up on the stairs and it took 2 times to empty the dust bin in between. The rubberized front is surprisingly good for pet hair; I thought it would get full of hair and need cleaning itself but it really loosens the dirt and hair without getting clogged at all. About the complaints of the venting on the sides and the handle being on the top: I love that the handle is on the top because I can direct the vacuum and bear down on it to get exactly the spot I want. And if not side vents, where? I loved my Shark hand vac but it died after a couple years of hard use. It vented out the back which sometimes hurt. Whatever the Bissell blows around on the stairs or the floor is what I want to vacuum anyway...so the dirt can run but it cant hide. If there are papers nearby or whatever, Ill just make sure the vents dont blow in that direction. Pretty easy to manage. Its so light and its pleasant to be able to see when the bin needs emptying. I like the double regular/hepa filter. I got a Dyson stick vac but a little part broke off. We havent had it repaired yet...it was expensive! Bissell is my new fave.

> 3 dayI have a long haired cat that kitty litter gets stuck in the fur on her feet and she tracks it out all over the carpet. This works GREAT for vacuuming that litter up. Not so great for hair, but I have another one for that .....I do like this and bought another one

18-11-2024I purchase this exact model in August 2014. It has great suction even when full. I used it to clean my vechicles, between my couches, pick up dust when I sweep, when I am drilling holes in concret I use it by the holes while drilling and to clean my cupboards. I loan it to my cousin and his car was stolen with it in the trunk. So I did not hesitate in making another purchase. It is worth every dollar and more. I never replace the filter. I usually take it out regularly and knock out the dust. Note if you are using it to pick up concret dust and it cut off. Unplug, allow it to cool and clean the filter. Concret dust usually block the filter causing the motor to over heat. And it cut off but never burns the motor. I may buy another soon :) because my mom always want to use it. Lol

> 3 dayAs of November, 2015, this still works perfectly. My biggest complaint at this point is that when I use the hose attachment, the hose is rather stiff, and if you turn the hose a certain way, it makes the whole hand-vac tumble over. I purchased this to replace our previous one that I burned out the motor on. So far, this has done a better job than our previous hand-vac, and the previous one did a good job. We have two cats, one of them being a long-haired cat, and this hand-vac gets the cat hair off the carpet much better. The vacuum comes with several attachments. The standard attachment has rubber nubs on the end and does a good job at picking up the cat hair. There is also a little hose attachment and a piece that attaches to that with a velvety material that does a great job at gathering hair from furniture. In addition, there is also a crevice tool to get into corners well, and works very well on stairs. The hand-vac is a bit noisy, but it gets the job done. I also see why people have complained about the air rushing out the side of the vacuum. You have to be strategic about where you aim the side of the hand-vac, or you may end up blowing all your dust and pet hair around the room while you are trying to pick it up. That being said, it is not difficult to manage that. I do find the handle to be a bit more awkward to hold than our old hand-vac, but not a big con.

> 3 dayThis little miracle corded vacuum 47R51 by Bissell out preforms all of the battery operated small vacuums. The is because it is corded and has more power and also because it is a Bissell product, from a line of manufacturers in vacuums known for top quality and performance. I wish Bissell made this same corded vacuum in a hand held vacuum that could be one and 1/2 times as large so that the see through cannister would be able to hold more dire and hair and cat litter. The only disadvantage of this product is the fact that it is too small and has to be emptied more frequently than another vacuum might be emptied. The replicable filters are useful and do not cost much and do not have to be replaced at every emptying of the dirt trap. Also, taking it apart and reassembling it is very easy and much more logical than other small vacuums in its category. Remember, power is related to the ability to plug a unit into an electrical source. Forget about the battery charging units, the amount of time that they perform before recharging is too limited.

> 3 dayMy car needs frequent vacuuming because I track a lot of dirt in due to my job, plus Im always on the go, so make up and food gets everywhere. The vacuums at the gas station never work and cost money. Lugging my real vacuum outside is a pain. I didnt want a rechargeable vacuum, because they rarely have good suction and the batteries eventually lose their ability to retain power. This little vacuum eliminates all of the aforementioned issues. Suction is great, its small and takes up very little storage room, and taking it outside it not a hardship. The attachments are perfect. No complaints.

> 3 dayReally like this vacuum. I have owned it for two years with no issues. It has plenty of power and does everything I expect it to. I had a battery powered one prior to this and really disliked it because I couldnt get through one set of stairs without it dying on me. That was the reason I purchased this one. The hose is very useful and takes care of the problem some people were complaining about with the air blowing stuff around. I highly recommend spending the extra $10 to get it. We have a cat and a lab and this handles the hair just fine. One note that could improve the product. The cord could be removable near the base of the unit. I know this voided the warranty, but I cut the cord and installed a connector near the base. This allows me to unplug the unit when I need to empty it and not take the entire cord with me. Dont do this if you dont know what you are doing when it comes to electricity. I do that kind of stuff for work. Pros: 1) Powerful 2) Can do one set of 13 stairs before needing to be emptied 3) The attachments are handy 4) Doesnt need to be charged 5) Not to heavy (Average size man in 20s) Cons: 1) Cord was a little cumbersome until I fixed it

> 3 dayI had low expectations. Its not expensive. The cord is very long. I have a Dyson so getting this I thought was overkill but the extension does reach areas I couldnt get to with the Dyson. Ive had to give myself a haircut because of Covid and this thing cleans up all the hair. Its also more convenient to use in some hard to reach places than my Dyson. Its worth every cent Update- The nozzle that connects attachments to the vacuum has fallen off twice so far. Its a design flaw. I dont see a workaround. So reducing my 5 star review to a 2 star review. I would not have bought it if I knew this would happen. Maybe Ill return it. I dont have the box anymore so it will be a hassle. Update again- Ive been using this for a year and its awesome. Sometimes the nozzle pops off but it takes a second to put it back on. It gets all the hair off the floor. Love this thing
