Bissell Cleanview Deluxe Corded Handheld Vacuum, 47R51

Greater than one weekThis is PERFECT for what I wanted. Ive been looking for a handheld vacuum with a hose for some time for dusting. I have allergies and vacuuming away that dust is so much better than dry dusting or dusting with dusting sprays. The suction is perfect for this, not very noisy, long cord, and the vacuum is light and easy to handle and easy to clean. The MAJOR issue is that this unit uses Bissells odd attachment size - 1 1/8? - and the attachments fit IN the opening, not over the opening. You cannot use standard 1 1/4 attachments that fit over the hose without an adapter. The vacuum doesnt come with a brush attachment either or it wouldnt be a problem for me. I was able to buy an adapter on eBay and now can use all my existing attachments. Depending on what you need it for, but knowing the situation with the attachments, it could be perfect. But I wish Bissell had either included a brush attachment or included an adapter.

> 3 dayThis vacuum was so much fun its ridiculous. PROS: -Very powerful for its size. More suction than even many larger vacuum cleaners. -Extremely easy to use: --Ergonomic and lightweight. On/Off button can be reached by the thumb, one handed. --Rubber tip can safely and efficiently clean cloth and the like. --Plastic hose rotates at BOTH ends, so its rarely awkward. --Attachments are quick and easy to swap. A long one, a wider flat one, and a rubber one. -Cord is a decent length and comes with an attached velcro wrap which is very, very useful. -Emptying is a cinch: --Compartment is clear, so you can tell when its time to empty. --Filter is REUSABLE and easy to clean (as far as reusable filters are concerned, anyways.) --Easy to pop off, dump, pop on again. -The entire thing is accessible, so if anything gets clogged it can be fixed lickety-split. -Remarkably inexpensive. -Yellow-orange is cool. Gives it an industrial edge. CONS: -The cord, wrapped up, is about the same weight as the vacuum. Its a little awkward hanging off the side, but its an understandable sacrifice to save the simple and small design of the rest of the cleaner. -Exhaust blows forwards from both sides, which can kick up dust a little; especially if youre cleaning a dry spill. This isnt much of an issue if you use the hose, though. -Gets kinda warm after a few minutes of use. Doesnt ever seem to get really hot, though. Cools off fast too. -Not exactly easy to store, what with its separate attachments and all. Another sacrifice for its simple design. -Doesnt have a light. Fortunately for me, I had a tiny flashlight with a stretchy strap to attach to my finger or the tip of the nozzle. My genius upgrade. Other cons come from it just being a vacuum cleaner. Such as: -Its noisy. Not deafening, though. -Cleaning the filter gets dust everywhere. Do it outside. *cough, cough* -It gets dirty easy, and visibly. So clean it with a little water and a rag, if its even worth bothering. And its small, so its limited in other obvious ways: -It fills up fast, making it ever the more wonderful how easy it is to empty. -It cant do large areas like carpet or big rugs. -It doesnt come with a long tube or brush attachment. -You cant use it standing up. SYNOPSIS: This vacuum is a JOY. Its easy to use, lightning fast and powerful. YOUR STAIRS WILL BE CLEAN. And your corners will be dustless. I loved running around the house hitting all the dust-bunny hot spots; bang, bang, bang. Done. Clean. No questions asked. I leave all the big stuff to my Filter Queen, but with this Cleanview Ill never cut corners again!

> 3 dayI have a long haired cat that kitty litter gets stuck in the fur on her feet and she tracks it out all over the carpet. This works GREAT for vacuuming that litter up. Not so great for hair, but I have another one for that .....I do like this and bought another one

> 3 dayThe suction on this thing is really good. The cordless models I had been getting just lost suction over time - being this is corded, Im hoping it will be different. Easy to use, I like that the on switch is on the handle where your thumb can switch it on. If you set it down however while using it, it just flops over on its side. Not a big deal, but annoying.

> 3 dayI needed to replace my handheld vacuum. I was open to buying either a cordless one or one with a cord. I didnt have a strong preference, either way. I luv that it has a long cord (18 foot) & a HEPA filter. The suction is ok & its easy to empty.

> 3 dayI like the size and the suction for dog hair. The carpet attachment is good. I also like the long electric cord. You really need the separate side air deflectors. The other attachments are good. The only negative is when you push on the side deflectors, it makes it impossible to store the unit and attachments in the box and Im afraid of losing some attachments. I now need to buy some type of container to store everything. It would be better if the deflectors were included with the vacuum.

> 3 dayHad a friend coming to stay for a few days who is allergic to cats. We planned for my cat to stay away by being kept in another room, but there was still the matter of her hair all over the living room furniture. I had not vacuumed the furniture in months. One thorough pass with this vacuum was all that was needed. My friend didn’t even need to take the Benadryl she brought with her.
