Greater than one weekAs of November, 2015, this still works perfectly. My biggest complaint at this point is that when I use the hose attachment, the hose is rather stiff, and if you turn the hose a certain way, it makes the whole hand-vac tumble over. I purchased this to replace our previous one that I burned out the motor on. So far, this has done a better job than our previous hand-vac, and the previous one did a good job. We have two cats, one of them being a long-haired cat, and this hand-vac gets the cat hair off the carpet much better. The vacuum comes with several attachments. The standard attachment has rubber nubs on the end and does a good job at picking up the cat hair. There is also a little hose attachment and a piece that attaches to that with a velvety material that does a great job at gathering hair from furniture. In addition, there is also a crevice tool to get into corners well, and works very well on stairs. The hand-vac is a bit noisy, but it gets the job done. I also see why people have complained about the air rushing out the side of the vacuum. You have to be strategic about where you aim the side of the hand-vac, or you may end up blowing all your dust and pet hair around the room while you are trying to pick it up. That being said, it is not difficult to manage that. I do find the handle to be a bit more awkward to hold than our old hand-vac, but not a big con.

> 3 dayI had low expectations. Its not expensive. The cord is very long. I have a Dyson so getting this I thought was overkill but the extension does reach areas I couldnt get to with the Dyson. Ive had to give myself a haircut because of Covid and this thing cleans up all the hair. Its also more convenient to use in some hard to reach places than my Dyson. Its worth every cent Update- The nozzle that connects attachments to the vacuum has fallen off twice so far. Its a design flaw. I dont see a workaround. So reducing my 5 star review to a 2 star review. I would not have bought it if I knew this would happen. Maybe Ill return it. I dont have the box anymore so it will be a hassle. Update again- Ive been using this for a year and its awesome. Sometimes the nozzle pops off but it takes a second to put it back on. It gets all the hair off the floor. Love this thing

Greater than one weekI bought this to use indoors and also to clean my car. I wanted a corded vacuum for maximum power and also to be able to use in my house. The car vacuums plug into the car and I wouldnt be able to use inside my house. Ive had rechargable vacuums and found them clunky, had little suction and usually died in about a year. This Bissell is perfect for me. The main portion of the vacuum sits on the seat of the car and I use the hose and attachment to clean my car. Other vacuums make you hold the whole thing in your hand and some are quite heavy and akward to use. This lttle gem has tons of suction and the attachments allow me to get hard to reach knooks and crannies where M&Ms and coins like to hide. Inside the house, its always ready to clean up spilled plants and coffee grounds, no need to wait for the battery to charge up. Long gone are the days of shoving dirt and crumbs in front of the vacuum hoping it sucks up this time. The long cord allows me to clean all my stairs or my car without an extension cord. I didnt have any problem emptying the dirt and reassemblying it. I would buy it again.

Greater than one weekI have owned many hand vacuums to use in my car. This was the best one I have owned to date. I love the attachment with the flexible hose and the crevice tool. It is easy to empty and change attachments. It has such great suction. I do have to plug it in but the cord is long enough that I don’t need an extension even to park the car right outside the garage to clean. Plugging it in is the way to go for the best cleaning power and duration.

Greater than one weeki was happily surprised about how powerful this is. its a little loud but not unexpected for a vacuum. i got it to do a pretty nasty little project which i didnt realize would involve quite fine dirt. the flaw is the white accordion filter got really, really full of the dirt which greatly diminished the suction. i had to take it apart and give the accordion filter a really hard few whacks to dislodge the dirt VERY frequently which made a messy job really intolerably messy. also the crevice tool is really short and not very helpful. i did like the hose feature which did make it easier to reach some areas. for the purpose i bought it involving fine dirt, its not right, but quick jobs or areas that really need a handheld and a long cord, its probably a good match.

> 3 dayAfter spending hours researching brands, reading reviews and considering pros and cons of a corded/cordless vacuum, I decided on this Bissell which has a 16 foot cord. I chose it based on reviews, Bissell reputation and cord length. To do the car, I have to use an extension cord, but thats ok. There were so many negative reviews of many cordless brands, I decided to go with a more tried and true option. The company is over 100 years old so I figured they know how to make a vacuum. The box says The Netherlands, not China. Thats a plus. Comes with one year warranty, washable filter, 3 attachments and is easy to open. The plastic is thick and sturdy but still lightweight. I tested it on a throw rug with sand and small pebbles and cleaned my van. It has great suction and I expect it to last a decade of car cleaning.

> 3 dayThis has the best suction power of any handheld vacuum I’ve used. Especially for pet fur. The photo is if dig fur this vacuum collected, immediately after I had used a hand held cordless.
