> 24 hourWe were hoping that Black+Decker would come out with a Lithium-ion vacuum to replace the Ni-cad fold-able vacuum, which weve had two of and loved them. The only downside of the older version was battery life. This vacuum has more suction than the Ni-cad version. It feels smoother operating (folding, and emptying) than the older version The battery should hold up much better We are very pleased with this Vacuum! The only negative I have is why in the world would a great product ship with flat-head screws instead of Phillips screws!

> 24 hourIts a nice little vacuum. I have been buying them for years. This particular model leaks debris when placed in the charger, the flap inside is flimsy and does not locks well to prevent dirt from coming out. I usually place the vacuum in the palm of my hand and turn it on to make sure debris is all in. Secondly, the batteries died out after about 16 months and to replaced them you have to solder them and also, they are expensive- Its cheaper to replaced vacuum than replacing the batteries. I wish they correct these flaws since it is a nice vacuum.

> 24 hourWriting this May of 2022, bought mine on Sep 27, 2020, and other than emptying out the main container when it filled Id not properly cleaned it once or replaced the filter (in fact I came across the spare filter a few months back and not recognizing it am afraid I may have tossed it) .... Why yes even the most robust hand vacuums need to have their filters cleaned occasionally... Ive been using mine about a full year and Im not over stating it when I say I NEVER cleaned it, only reason I even thought to do it was because the contents of my paper shredder had spilled over and theres SO much dust in that that my brain kind of went, that must be tough on the filters ... Pulled it apart for the first time, the filters were completely full, and the space between the filter and plastic casing was completely full... and just a few minutes before it was STILL sucking bits of paper and stuff up off the floor. So I washed it... went after the filter (inside the folds and at top where the plastic overlaps it) with a shellfish fork, cleaning out bits of junk the water couldnt clear out (warning, do it over the garbage disposal or youll clog your sink) ... once that was all cleaned out, saw the clear plastic casing that has tiny holes in it, and about half of the holes were full of junk that were stuck in there blocking air flow. Took to it with a pin, pushing the bits out (they were all hard bits of I dont know what) and then rinsed the holes clean ... am still waiting for it to dry, but Im impressed. ALL that dirt was in there and it was STILL working... if it works flawlessly once the bits have had time to dry out Im going to hug it --- next day, it dried, and is once again working flawlessly

> 24 hourI wanted to wait several weeks before writing a review to see how it would hold up or honestly how much I would even use it. I never even considered getting one until I was housesitting for a lady with several cats. As I was tidying up daily I realized how handy it was not to have to drag out the vacuum two or three times a day. So I decided to break down and get one myself. She had another model (that was way beyond my price range) so I did a bit of research and have always had good luck with Black & Decker products so decided to give this one a go. I had no idea that I would be using this thing several times every day to get into those little cracks and crevices, to clean up after my own pets instead of having to drag out the vacuum. So convenient, so handy, so lightweight. Suction power is great…. not comparable to an upright vacuum of course but it’s handheld so you can’t expect that. but for furniture, for carpet, for quick around the litter box cleanups, for dogs with muddy feet and for clumsy kitchen spills (nothing wet) this thing is awesome! For the price point I really was not expecting a product this good. And I love that I do not have to keep the button pressed down while in use. The pricier model I used while housesitting you have to have the button continually compressed and my hand cramped up quickly. I have to use this thing for a solid 15 minutes to even notice any fatigue in my hand and I don’t have the youngest hands in the world…. If you were looking for a hand held vacuum for quick, frequent cleanups. For me, this one is hard to beat! Sidenote, as stated above do not suck up anything wet! You will have to disassemble and clean the filters and then let them dry completely before using again. But it does state very clearly it is designed to vacuum dry things only. There is a little flat where the suction tube meets the chamber and sometimes little things can get stuck in there but was able to get out with a wooden skewer very very easily. Small price to pay. Very happy with this purchase

> 24 hourEDIT exactly 30 days later. The charger that is such a bitch to use anyway, died. On the very last day of return eligibility. I am getting a replacement because the thing is just too efficient - the baseboards in my house have never been as clean. But, if this one dies, Im not sure what Ill do. I got this mainly for cleaning up kitty litter that gets sprinkled around the litter boxes. It sucks that stuff up like nobodys business. Perfection. However, I have two major issues with the design. 1. Getting it into the charging stand is a bitch and a half. The stand is now stable enough and the fit is not close to intuitive. Im going to hate it every time I put it away. 2. I had to read the damn manual to get the nozzle back from extension and even that didnt help. Push the raised button on the nozzle. Look, Jacko. There is NO RAISED BUTTON. I finally figured it out but it should not have involved that many swear words.

> 24 hourThe fold-up feature is wicked convenient! I was looking at a few different hand vacs and got this one on a whim, unsure if the folding feature would actually be useful. I sh!t you not, I wont buy a straight one again! Empties easy, all the built-in tools work the same, I like it, glad I bought it.

> 24 hourI purchased the vacuum after much research and I was not disappointed! Overall, I am incredibly happy with the product but here are a few things to consider before buying them yourself: Pros: It looks very sleek. It looks really good on its charging port as well! I dont mind displaying out in the open. It also is quite compact when stored in its charging dock which is a plus. Its suction is great! I think that was the number one thing that I was looking for in a hand held vacuum as ones in the past had issues with this. Cons: The one gripe I have with this vacuum and for you to consider is that its actually a little awkward using it. The head is a lot shorter than it looks in the picture and it makes it awkward to hold for some reason. Its probably more of my own preference than anything but something to consider. ***update*** Ive had this product for several months now and it is still working great!!! Suction still works great, battery life is good and its cleaned up quite a bit of mess for us in the last few month. But, there is one more thing for the buyer to consider that I noticed with more use. There is a rubber lip inside that prevents anything sucked into the vacuum from coming out. It works great for that purpose. But, one continuous issue I am having is bigger particles getting stuck in-between the lip and the filter. There isnt a whole lot of space between them and anything bigger than dust will get stuck there. When I go to dump the mess in the trash, I often have to reach in there and pick out whatever is wedged in there. Not a deal breaker by any means, but nevertheless an annoyance for you to consider. ***update*** Recently, after having the product for about 6 months, the hinge on my vacuum broke. I recently read a review that indicated the same issue. For the overall good quality of the rest of the vacuum, this plastic hinge for the door is a little disappointing. We have used it daily, so by no means has the vacuum been handled with delicacy. BUT, who has time to treat their vacuum delicately! It just needs to work to clean up all of those messes your kids make! I could not find any way to contact costumer service on Amazon so decided to go to their website directly. Their website is not the easiest to navigate and finding the contact information too a few minutes but once I put in my request, I received a response within a few days. They did not have any spare parts or had any solutions for a fix but they were able to send me a replacement unit for free of charge. I know Amazon has you buy a 2 year warranty but I saw on the Black and Decker website that the two year warranty was included in the purchase. Not sure if it does not apply to the batch on Amazon but I have a hard time seeing black and decker not honoring the warranty. I dont know if I was covered or they were being nice, but I do appreciate the good customer service! So if you have a similar issue and your vacuum is less than 2 years old, try contacting them directly about the issue. Besides the hinge, this is still a great vacuum.
