> 3 dayI agree with all the good things people say about the vac., and I have had this vac about a week. It is easy to clean, although debris/ dust collects at rubber flap that has to be finger pulled out. The filter fills up with almost every use and needs to be pulled out and shaken to clean, or can be cleaned with a shop vac, or washed. The enclosed manual states, after its fully charged, you should unplug after 24 hours, which is kind of a pain to remember, plus I store the vac on my floor and have to bend my back to unplug the vac. Otherwise, I really like it, better than my previous weaker hand vac.

02-06-2025A good design that works well. Construction is definitely a step above the lower priced vacs. The only addition I think would be useful would be a wider attachment since this has so much suction.

> 3 dayI read several reviews before deciding on this item. I agree with most that this is great for the vehicle. It has great suction, an extension spout for slender areas that are otherwise hard to get to and a little flip out brush to loosen hair from the carpet. I haven’t used it anywhere other than my car, because that’s what I purchased it for, but would imagine that it would be good anywhere you need to vacuum a small space. It holds a charge fine for me to clean out my 2 cars.

> 3 dayThis same product was around 40 buck a year and a half ago - corporate greed! The battery is NOT replaceable, of course, so more plastic junk in the landfills. So, we have greed plus corporate irresponsibility. What a terrible company Black & Decker has become.

> 3 dayThis is an update to my original concern with charging. I contacted Black and Decker Customer Service, and, with much professionalism and courtesy, they listened to my concerns, agreed to send a replacement immediately, and I received it within five days. The best customer service Ive had ever in dealing with returns/replacements. I have always been pleased with any Black and Decker items Ive purchased and am extremely happy that I have the cordless handheld vacuum working again. Thank you.

> 3 dayI have waffle mats under the cat litter boxes to capture litter. This device does a fabulous job of vacuuming up the bits of litter out of the waffles. I dont dump the suctioned-up litter back in the box as Im using the vacuum for so much more...kitchen, stairs... It is easy to empty the container and about once a week, I take it apart and clean the filters. Note, the plastic filter cup does tend to get the bits of litter stuck in the little holes. I have a wire brush which I use to scrub out those particles. So easy.

> 3 dayI love the vacuum, especially the section power. However the docking station is flimsy. Hard to get the vacuum in right. I had the older model and the docking station was sturdy and easy to access.

> 3 dayFirst of all, this is a pretty good design, with superior suction, and a thoughtful, user friendly design. But, as previously pointed out, when the batteries fail, Black & Decker really lets the customer down by not providing a replacement battery pack, even though it’s extremely easy for the end user to access that battery pack for replacement. But, if you’re tech oriented, you can change the batteries with a bit of work and some skills. The first issue, is getting a cell out of the pack, in order to indemnify it for purchase. They’re readily available, but you need that part number that’s printed on each cell. Also, it’s a bit of a challenge to get one out to see that number. The first thing that must be done is to take photos of the battery pack from both sides, for future reference when trying to connect the new cells together. Then, use some needle nose pliers, getting them under the metal straps that connect the cells together, and pry the straps from the cells. But, after doing so, the cells still won’t just slide out of the holder. It’s too tight. But, I used a deep 3/8 drive socket, of a diameter that was almost as large as the battery cells, and I used it, with a hammer, to drive the cells out of the holder. As I said, before I did any of this, I took photos of both sides of the battery pack for reference, so that I would be able to still see how the cells were connected to each other, after they’d been removed from the pack. Then, I inserted new cells into the pack, and referencing my photos, I connected those cells together, using bits of the original straps, and my soldering iron, to reconnect each cell. I was successful. But, I soon came across a problem that made me wish I’d never spent the money for the cells and went to all that work, as about a month later, the motor’s bearings failed, and just like the battery pack, B & D won’t sell you a new motor! I have 2 of these, but I can’t remember which one is older. But, I think it was the newer on that lost its motor. That should mean the motor failed after about 7 years. From what I’ve read in other reviews, that just may be about the most one can expect from it. Even if you can replace the batteries, it really doesn’t make sense to do so, as it cost me around $50.00 for the cells, and the whole vac is only $75! So, I only saved about $25, and I was still stuck with an old vac, whos motor soon failed! But, as I can’t find another brand that has this kind of suction and thoughtful design (& believe me, I’ve tried!), I just bought my 3rd one!

> 3 dayThis has incredible suction. Best I have seen in a hand vac. This items problems lie in the design. Specifically in servicing the filter. From factory the filter was EXTREMely hard to remove the first time. It was so tight into its locked in position we thought it was defective. Finally broke it loose but then the filter wanted to un seat when you rotated the pivot point. Had two vacs both the same. This was annoying enough I sent them both back reluctantly because when assembled an in use it was super powerful. Purchased a shark CH901 as replacement and they are wonderful!
