I wanted to wait several weeks before writing a review to see how it would hold up or honestly how much I would even use it. I never even considered getting one until I was housesitting for a lady with several cats. As I was tidying up daily I realized how handy it was not to have to drag out the vacuum two or three times a day. So I decided to break down and get one myself. She had another model (that was way beyond my price range) so I did a bit of research and have always had good luck with Black & Decker products so decided to give this one a go. I had no idea that I would be using this thing several times every day to get into those little cracks and crevices, to clean up after my own pets instead of having to drag out the vacuum. So convenient, so handy, so lightweight. Suction power is great…. not comparable to an upright vacuum of course but it’s handheld so you can’t expect that. but for furniture, for carpet, for quick around the litter box cleanups, for dogs with muddy feet and for clumsy kitchen spills (nothing wet) this thing is awesome! For the price point I really was not expecting a product this good. And I love that I do not have to keep the button pressed down while in use. The pricier model I used while housesitting you have to have the button continually compressed and my hand cramped up quickly. I have to use this thing for a solid 15 minutes to even notice any fatigue in my hand and I don’t have the youngest hands in the world…. If you were looking for a hand held vacuum for quick, frequent cleanups. For me, this one is hard to beat! Sidenote, as stated above do not suck up anything wet! You will have to disassemble and clean the filters and then let them dry completely before using again. But it does state very clearly it is designed to vacuum dry things only. There is a little flat where the suction tube meets the chamber and sometimes little things can get stuck in there but was able to get out with a wooden skewer very very easily. Small price to pay. Very happy with this purchase

Its a nice little vacuum. I have been buying them for years. This particular model leaks debris when placed in the charger, the flap inside is flimsy and does not locks well to prevent dirt from coming out. I usually place the vacuum in the palm of my hand and turn it on to make sure debris is all in. Secondly, the batteries died out after about 16 months and to replaced them you have to solder them and also, they are expensive- Its cheaper to replaced vacuum than replacing the batteries. I wish they correct these flaws since it is a nice vacuum.

Ive sent 3 of these type of vacs back. This is a keeper. As a ride share driver with a black interior I need something quick and efficient. This delivered in spades. There is nothing negative to say. For the price its worth every penny. The reviews where people didnt understand how to work it? You gotta be dense. Its just what you need. Sure itll work around the house but its a car or shop vac. Itll pick up large objects but theyll get stuck. Use your hands, but for for dust, dirt, hair, smaller objects this is the bomb. Happy Uberman. Update. I charged the unit fully the 1st time. Approx 6 hrs. The LED light went off. It functioned very well as described above. The run time seemed short but I did not time it. Recharge took over 2 hours. The next use I timed. 8 1/2 minutes. Recharged again over 2 hours. Run time 8 minutes. Im assuming a bad unit so Im exchanging it for another. Its a great unit but run time and Recharge are poor. Lets see what the next one does. Final update. The new unit, again, works for about 10 minutes before the charge fails. Recharging its 2 1/2 - 3 hours. It works very well for quick cleaning jobs. For an uberman like myself itll be fine. Ill keep it. Its great to quick vac van after ubering.

Purchased to use in my car and for quick crumb clean ups in the house. Especially love small crevice tool that extends from the end and the brush tool that flips up when needed. So good I wanted to write review and would highly recommend.

I bought this for small cleanups in the kitchen but I have used it for so much more. It is the best small vacuum Ive ever had from the pivoting head to the easy empty cannister. The suction is phenomenal and I couldnt be happier with this purchase. You have to get one, you wont be disappointed.

I bought this on the NYT recommendation. Been using it a few weeks, and no problems with battery life or not holding/taking a charge, as others have reported. I work out of the home, with my shop in the basement, so I have to frequently vacuum my bench area to avoid the dust creeping to other parts of the house. Before I bought this, every time I needed to vacuum the bench area, I would walk around the back of the bench, turn on the Shop Vac, vacuum the area, and then walk back to the front side of the bench. This little powerful vac has already saved me numerous trips like that, and because its handy, I even vacuum it up more often. At the end of the day, I walk up the stairs with vac in hand, and give each stair a quick swipe. Then, I plug it in the charger upstairs to get ready for the next day. I love this thing so much, my wife and I plan to buy one for the main house.

This is honestly the best handheld vacuum I have ever used! Its so easy to use, easy to empty and even clean. You can detach the bin to rinse out and take out filter to empty and rinse if you so choose. As a mom this has been one of my best investments. I can do a quick cleanup in the car, couches, and kitchen. The bristle attachment that folds down on end helps get up stubborn pet fur off upholstery. I accidentally broke the bin door when tapped it on garbage can to release dust but I used duct tape to keep it closed and it still works like new. The battery seems to go forever. Im not sure exact time, but I got carried away cleaning car and made through whole car cleaning except when i did a twice over. My car is filthy...it charges pretty quickly and has a blue light to indicate that its still charging. When im done with it, i empty bin and put it on the stand/charger. Its always ready to go whenever I need it....which is often.

We have had several car vacuums that under performed. We use a roomba to pick up pet hair, it gets most but there is always some left. We follow with vacuum with the nozzle extended to pick up the rest plus anything else that may be on the floors. It does a excellent job. It is easy to clean and comes with clear instructions.

Bought this to aid in the collection of multi-colored Asian beetles that seem to invade our home year-round, vacuuming them up from walls, ceilings, and around windows and doors from room to room. The on-board brush that flips into place protects finishes. The motion in the filter actually dismembered most of the invaders. Its light enough to vacuum above ones head at length. This works great to clean cars and the onboard crevice tool extension comes in handy. The battery lasts a long time before charging.

I had one of the very old models of black & decker and the difference in suction is phenomenal. Only complaint I have is that I wish I came with a few attachments.
