Greater than one weekEDIT exactly 30 days later. The charger that is such a bitch to use anyway, died. On the very last day of return eligibility. I am getting a replacement because the thing is just too efficient - the baseboards in my house have never been as clean. But, if this one dies, Im not sure what Ill do. I got this mainly for cleaning up kitty litter that gets sprinkled around the litter boxes. It sucks that stuff up like nobodys business. Perfection. However, I have two major issues with the design. 1. Getting it into the charging stand is a bitch and a half. The stand is now stable enough and the fit is not close to intuitive. Im going to hate it every time I put it away. 2. I had to read the damn manual to get the nozzle back from extension and even that didnt help. Push the raised button on the nozzle. Look, Jacko. There is NO RAISED BUTTON. I finally figured it out but it should not have involved that many swear words.

> 3 dayI use this to clean out my car, and for small spaces in my house. It works good. Takes a bit to charge up if it dies but it lasts for a decent amount of time as long as you aren’t running it for a long time.

> 3 dayIm so disgusted with handheld vacs! I would have loved this one to have 2 levels of power but it is pretty strong on suction. The most frustration feature was trying to pull the Crevice tool out and the killing yourself getting it put back in place! I worked on it for over 45 mins and my husband took a look at it and figured it out, pulling front part of crevice tool out while pushing down on the end of it where the lines are. pretty hard to do but it is doable, even for a 76 yr old. like the compart size, sturdiness. Its better than the Shark I had...

> 3 dayI wanted to wait several weeks before writing a review to see how it would hold up or honestly how much I would even use it. I never even considered getting one until I was housesitting for a lady with several cats. As I was tidying up daily I realized how handy it was not to have to drag out the vacuum two or three times a day. So I decided to break down and get one myself. She had another model (that was way beyond my price range) so I did a bit of research and have always had good luck with Black & Decker products so decided to give this one a go. I had no idea that I would be using this thing several times every day to get into those little cracks and crevices, to clean up after my own pets instead of having to drag out the vacuum. So convenient, so handy, so lightweight. Suction power is great…. not comparable to an upright vacuum of course but it’s handheld so you can’t expect that. but for furniture, for carpet, for quick around the litter box cleanups, for dogs with muddy feet and for clumsy kitchen spills (nothing wet) this thing is awesome! For the price point I really was not expecting a product this good. And I love that I do not have to keep the button pressed down while in use. The pricier model I used while housesitting you have to have the button continually compressed and my hand cramped up quickly. I have to use this thing for a solid 15 minutes to even notice any fatigue in my hand and I don’t have the youngest hands in the world…. If you were looking for a hand held vacuum for quick, frequent cleanups. For me, this one is hard to beat! Sidenote, as stated above do not suck up anything wet! You will have to disassemble and clean the filters and then let them dry completely before using again. But it does state very clearly it is designed to vacuum dry things only. There is a little flat where the suction tube meets the chamber and sometimes little things can get stuck in there but was able to get out with a wooden skewer very very easily. Small price to pay. Very happy with this purchase

Greater than one weekIt takes about 4 hours to charge. Based on other reviews, I timed how long the battery would last for the charge. Mine is consistent with others; it lasted 9 minutes and 30 seconds. I vacuumed half of my mid-size SUV, charged the vacuum, did the other half of my car the next day. Its not very productive to begin a chore and complete it the next day. It did a very nice job, though! I was able to get into some nooks that I didnt think was possible. I like the pivot feature, too. The interior of the car looks pretty darn good, and clean too! Using the vast capabilities of web searches, it is also a true statement that a replacement battery for this product cannot be located. This is good: the product guide has directions on how to safely remove the battery for disposal when it can no longer take a charge. This is awful, not environmentally friendly, and contrary to common sense: there is no replacement battery option at the time of this writing. I really like this product. It performs well for my needs. I hope B&D will have a battery option when mine decides to die.

Greater than one weekThis is honestly the best handheld vacuum I have ever used! Its so easy to use, easy to empty and even clean. You can detach the bin to rinse out and take out filter to empty and rinse if you so choose. As a mom this has been one of my best investments. I can do a quick cleanup in the car, couches, and kitchen. The bristle attachment that folds down on end helps get up stubborn pet fur off upholstery. I accidentally broke the bin door when tapped it on garbage can to release dust but I used duct tape to keep it closed and it still works like new. The battery seems to go forever. Im not sure exact time, but I got carried away cleaning car and made through whole car cleaning except when i did a twice over. My car is filthy...it charges pretty quickly and has a blue light to indicate that its still charging. When im done with it, i empty bin and put it on the stand/charger. Its always ready to go whenever I need it....which is often.

> 3 dayI love this handheld based on the suction. That said, the attachments are built in and leave a little to be desired. I wish it had an attachment to use on fabric / to vacuum a sofa. BUT... the suction is still fantastic! Also it is super easy to clean and empty. Would recommend.
