I ordered the pack of three WiFi timers, they arrived when Amazon said they would and I promptly started setting them up. The first two set up without incident but the third was DOA! I mean it was completely dead right out of the box. The box showed no signs of damage, all three timers looked brand new. I immediately sent Century Products Inc a msg explaining just what I did here. They responded the next day and said they would promptly send me a replacement, which they did and I just now received. The replacement set right up without issue and I received a notification via the Smart Life app that there was a firmware update for it, I clicked it, it updated and I then set up the on/off schedule and tested it, worked great. So lets hope these all work for a loooong time. In terms of setting up the on/off schedule, they work like all the others Ive tried and its a very manual process, it would be helpful if once you set a schedule, it gave you a way to copy that schedule to another day or even be able to transfer it to another smart timer. As it is now, each one has to be set up manually for each schedule, its time consuming and error inducing. The other feature that would be nice to have, and you will see this on other plugs, is a rotating plug. Since the plug on this time is offset to one end of the timer, it may or may not fit into the wall outlet you want to use, depending on the location and type of that outlet. For example, if you have a quadplex, which is four outlets in the same outlet box on the wall, you will have other things plugged in and this WiFi timer may not physically fit because it will hit one of the existing plugs. However, if the plug in it could rotate, you would simply rotate it so the long end faces away from the existing plug. Edit: (Dec 11, 2019) After setting up the replacement timer Century Products Inc sent me, I happened to pick up both the replacement and one of the original ones from my initial Amazon order and noticed that the replacement timer did not have the ETL stamp on it like my original batch did. This may also explain why only the replacement timer had offered me a firmware update. I contacted Century Products Inc again, sent them a picture showing the original timer received from Amazon and the replacement they sent me, you could clearly see that the original timer has the ETL stamp and the replacement did not. They assured me that even though it did not have the ETL stamp, it was in fact ETL certified however they said if I wanted to exchange it for one that had the stamp, they would. I asked for the exchange and they promptly shipped it. I will return the one without the stamp in a prepaid shipping box they said they would send me. If you stop and think about the great customer service experience I just had, twice, it far exceeds any level of customer service I have ever seen from any car dealer I have dealt with and just look at the difference in cost between a WiFi timer and a car. At some point, you will experience a product failure and it is then and only then you begin to understand who you bought from. Century Products Inc - thanks you for great customer service!

I am getting this for my short term rental home and the houses I’m selling I can turn it on at a random time, that way squatters doesn’t think the house is vacant.

These are my favorite smart plugs now. They are easy to set up with the SmartLife app and work great with my Google Home setup. I like that the physical on/off switch is large and easy to access, and indicates the on/off status with its LED color. Overall: works well, is functionally well designed, and great value for money.

For years we had tangled with different timers for lights in the house that worked ... for a while. All were different, and cost a bunch. I also wanted to have a way to know when lights were on and off when I wasnt at the house, and to even turn them on and off remotely. These filled the bill. They use your internet (2.4) and after a relatively easy install are ready to go. Once set up, the app can be installed on several devices so my wife and I can check on the lights at anytime we are away. The other thing with timers is IF you want to use the light that is on a timer, you must do the aerobic exercise to find the plug in which the timer is plugged and press the button to turn it on and off. With this system, you just open the app on your iPhone and press button for the light you want to turn on and its done. Same with turning it off. And I thought this will throw the thing out of sync, but it does not. No matter what I have done as far overriding the timer, the timer will get itself back in sync. Also, it allows you to define what days the timer will function. Very adaptable. Most important, I bought a box of 4 units. One didnt initialize. I called the company and after about a 5 minute test, the company determined the unit was bad and sent a replacement. It was great service - and it has a 15 month warranty. So, all is good. Actually I am buying more units.

I mainly use these for my holiday lights around the house. I previously used timers but if the power went out I had to reset them all. The power is out a lot here. These are so handy. I can set timers up in my app on my phone or just manually turn them off and on. There is still a button on the unit if something doesnt work right with the app. Havent tested them on my Alexa devices. Not sure I will use it in that capacity.

I bought they during a Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal so I got them at a great price. They work great, I am able to set them to turn on and off at certain times through the Smart Life App and they also integrate with Alexa. I previously had the old school timers with the little knobs you have to pull out and the turn-style knob to set the time. However, I could never get the time exact and the lights would come on at different times. This was the main reason I switched to a WiFi app controlled timer. I purchased five of these to turn on and off all my Christmas decorations at the same time. The additional advantage to these timers is that I could set different times on different days which I could not due with the traditional timer. I like this feature because I like the decorations to stay on longer on Friday and Saturdays when we dont go to bed as early. The reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the directions. I find that setting up WiFi products is not always clear. You needed eagle eyes to try to see the directions, even my glasses didnt help. I also am not a fan of the Smart Life App it has SOOOO many options if you are setting things up manually but they never seem to match what you are setting up. After unsuccessfully trying to set up the timer manually I decided to hold down the on/off button (as it appeared per the directions that was a reset) and that was the key. After that it was very easy to set up. How to Set up: - Open up the Smart Life App to be ready - Plug in the timer - Hold the On/Off button until it starts to blink - I cant remember if I had to hit the + to add a device first, or if it showed up, but once it started blinking it would pop up to add the device - Let it connect - Name your device - Set the schedule The deal must have been great on these timers because when I decided I should have bought 6 instead of 5 the next day they were all out of stock! Definitely a great addition to my Christmas decorations.

These work as expected and I like that they are rectangular so two will fit in an outlet (the round ones only one fits). My only complaint is they always have a light shining. Blue when off is especially upsetting since I have them in a bedroom and blue light is bad for sleep. I had to put tape over the lights on the plugs so they wouldnt shine in my bedroom at night.

Not rated for it but we are using these outside (covered patio up near the roof in a weather rated outdoor gfi outlet). We have a set of heavy duty outdoor string lights plugged into them that we like to turn off and on wirelessly. I chose this style based solely on where the power button is. The outlet is installed horizontally and the cover makes it hard for the other wifi plugs to fit (the power button on most of them is on the left side and the cover presses on it and turns it off). This one is a little cumbersome but the plug on the back is on the left side and the button is on the right so it hangs down out of the outlet perfectly and the button is clear. The last wifi plug we had was only 10 amps and it got fried in a month. Not sure if the draw from the patio lights was too strong or what, but this one has been working well so far and it was easy to set up (I did not set it up so cannot give any specific details on that).
