Greater than one weekThese are great plugs that work with the Smart Life app. I bought a set last year and couldnt be happier. I got 2 more sets but it appears they removed the energy monitoring capabilities. As long as you dont care for that, these are great plugs. Unfortunately for me, its a big deal so these will be going back to Amazon.

> 3 dayHad a previous no name brand that became unsupported by its app so decided to buy Alexa Dot with these smart plugs. All is good and satisfied

> 3 dayI like these, however, 2 of the 4 did not work. That was disappointing. It takes a long time and many tries to get them to connect to WiFi but when they finally do, they are great! I turn on lights in the house when I am arriving after dark. I would have given 5 stars if the other two had worked.

> 3 dayProduct is very convenient that you can control in app or with Alexa. I like to have one to the bedroom light and turn it on before I get there and turn it off from my bed. I also use it to set up timers to turn it on and off. One wasn’t working properly and the support was quick to respond. Steven resolved the issue and followed up later, which was really appreciated.

> 3 dayI put smart plugs on pretty much anything I can. The first thing I like about this set of plugs was the price. The price alone for 4 is very good, there was a 10% off coupon on the product page and using my Prime Visa I received an additional 5% cash back. Also, living in the area I do, I was able to get them the same day. The have been the easiest ones I have bought to setup. They are 2.4 Ghz network compatible only, which has been the case with all the other smart plugs Ive purchased. However, when I set these up, unlike the others I have, I dont have to log into my internet modem and turn off the 5 Ghz network, setup the plug, then go back into the modem and turn the 5 Ghz back on (most modems today are dual band with 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz which run simultaneously). So, all I had to do was plug in the plug, hold the button for about 10 seconds to put it into setup mode, go into the Smart Home app on my phone, assign it a name and boom the plug is ready. Repeat for each of the plugs as I used them. One issue I didnt like with previous plugs is that the name had to be one word. With these, you can assign multiple word names. For example, instead of using the name Lamp, you can name it Bedroom Lamp, or Table Lamp, basically much better descriptions for what they are. Once setup they are fully integrated with Alexa so you can include them in groups, change names or any other setting right from the Alexa app. So, you can operate these smart plugs from any Alexa enabled device (Echo devices, Fire TV remotes, etc.). Whatever is easiest where you are. Finally, they give off a little click when you turn them on and off. I like this because if whatever I tell Alexa to turn on doesnt turn on, I know if I heard the click it wasnt because I pronounced the name wrong or Alexa couldnt understand because of loud background noise, and that there may be an issue with whatever I was trying to turn on (like I out of lifetime habit, manually turn the device off by its own on/off switch. The only thing I would change is I wish they were a bit smaller. They work perfectly on wall outlets. You can use one and still plug something else in the other outlet or use two in the same outlet. However, I use a lot of power strips with multiple outlets on the and USB ports and the width of these smart plugs ends up covering the outlet next to it so I cant plug as many things into the strip. But I use the power strips more so that I have USB ports available around my home, so it isnt that big of a deal most of the time. Overall, I highly recommend these smart plugs.

> 3 dayThese work as expected and I like that they are rectangular so two will fit in an outlet (the round ones only one fits). My only complaint is they always have a light shining. Blue when off is especially upsetting since I have them in a bedroom and blue light is bad for sleep. I had to put tape over the lights on the plugs so they wouldnt shine in my bedroom at night.

> 3 dayThe instructions make it seem like it will take forever to set them up and connect to Alexa, but it really wasnt hard at all. Once connected to Alexa they work great! The instructions are my only complaint

Greater than one weekGreat value for 4 of these. Very compact compared to others - see pic. (They are not high drain cords, its only 2 low-wattage LED lamps, a laptop charger and a TV) I dont think I would plug a heater or anything high drain into this switch (or the outlet extender for that matter) just to be on the safe side. I have a Google WiFI router in my small apartment and everything works as expected. Cant comment on range. Set Up - I completed setting up 4 units and adding to Google Home in about 20 mins. I found my way around pretty quick, especially after the first one, but I am fairly tech savvy. I can easily imagine some people getting confused. The instructions arent great and simply wrong in some places. In example the instructions say after add device to choose electrical outlet option. This option did not exist, so I chose something like socket/wifi and that worked. There is one especially confusing part while setting up the Smart Life app. It pops up something along the lines of You must use a 2.4 ghz connection! which sounds like an error stating that you are not connected to one. Knowing my router is 2.4 ghz, I clicked continue and all was fine. After setting up the SmartLife app, I continued setting up within the Google Home app which was fairly straight forward. After the initial setup of the first unit, all I had to do for the other 3 was designate a room. I can confirm they *DO* indeed work individually with Google Home routines, regardless of other information Ive read elsewhere. I have it programmed with the single phrase OK Google ... turn on/off lights to turn on/off three of the units at once. Beautiful. I imagine most people just arent very familiar with the proper setup. Technology is changing rapidly and no one can blame anyone for getting behind :) On a whim I completely turned off my phone just to make sure they are working directly via WiFi and not bridged through the phone app in any way (yes they still worked). So I guess in theory, after setup you could uninstall the app. But I plan to keep the app because Im sure the current-draw feature alone will be useful. Finally I unplugged my router to test re-connection. Less than a minute and some blinking lights later, they each reconnected on their own and each one remembered its own previous on/off state. Impressive! I cant say anything about the long term durability, but if these hold up for a couple years (until the next big thing) Ill be very happy with my purchase.
