> 3 dayI purchased a four-pack of the smart plugs and set them up using the posted instructions. These integrated with my Alexa very simply and are very convenient to use. However, one of the four plugs would not link properly. I contacted customer service they responded very quickly (several e-mails in the same day). The service tech Steven walked me through the setup. Once it was determined that the unit was defective, they sent out a new unit right away (I had it in two days). Good customer is so very rare these days. It is nice to see it still exists at BN-Link Support!

Greater than one weekDisappointingly, one of the four kept switching on and off on its own in 2 second intervalls. This was obviously annoying. I didnt feel like returning all 4 because I had installed the other 3 and they were working fine plus I didnt want the hassle of not having them until a replacement arrived. I bought 4 more and those seem fine so far.

Greater than one weekI originally bought these for my indoor Christmas lights and pre-lit tree. You can either put them on a schedule or manually turn on/off on the app. I had them on a schedule, but when 2000 miles away for a trip I was able to control them, too (verified by checking my indoor cameras). I had a different schedule for each day and room because I’m a weirdo and wanted it to look like I was home rather than having all the windows light up at once. Mild paranoia, I suppose, but I love the flexibility and customization provided. Zero issues with Wi-Fi.

> 3 dayI am physically handicapped and have a difficult time of moving around, especially in the dark. As such, I have used a remote controlled receptacle for years to ease my turning my bedside light on before I enter my room. It worked great for me for several years. Recently that receptacle just stopped working. I dont know if it got worn out over time or what. I went online to look for a replacement. I had just bought two Amazon Echos, one of which is in my room, so when I ran across this item and it said it was controllable by Alexa, I thought it would be perfect. I do not recall how long ago I bought it, but it was at least a month and possibly two. I have tried to set it up to work with Alexa, but while I have been left to trust that it can work with Alexa, the way it is described in the add on the Amazon page suggests that it is far more ready to take on that function than it is. The most annoying thing is that it comes without any instructions. You must download an app to even learn how to use it. It is somewhere in the app that you finally find it telling you that it can be connected to Alexa, and all you have to do is go down this mile long rabbit hole and hope you dont make a wrong turn anywhere along the way to accomplish that. It tells you you have to name the device and then you go to just such a spot in the Alexa app to tell her to start controlling the device with that name, but the Alexa app doesnt make it at all readily apparent where youre supposed to go to do that sort of thing. The BN-LINK app tells you to go to such and such a place, but there is no clear marking in the Alexa app to let you know where youre supposed to find that particular place, and as yet, I just havent found it. I do have other things in life to attend to than trying to figure out how to tell Alexa that she is to control a receptacle called bedside light or something to that effect. As it is, I am left compelled for now to reach down to the receptacle where it is plugged into a crowded surge protector on the floor next to my bed and push its on/off button by hand. That is how I control my bedside light now. Im not impressed. I am a very computer savvy individual. I have multiple WiFi devices and generally use them without difficulty. I build my own PCs. Given all that, I think it is fair for me to say this company has done a disservice to say they are Alexa compliant and not put a simple instruction sheet in the box that shows, step-by-step, what you need to do and where in the Alexa app you will find what you need to find and what the icons look like when you get there. As it is, this is nothing more than a receptacle you can control by pushing a button to turn it on and off, and I would have never purchased that had I known how far from readily apparent it is to make it Alexa complaint. This manufacturer is irresponsible and just finding it all to wonderful to be able to claim control by Alexa without offering serious assistance in getting that accomplished. And I know there are many people who are far less computer and WiFi savvy than me.

Greater than one weekThese smarts plug work exactly the way you need them to. The only question I have is their reliability. They feel a bit cheap when pressing the button. But for now they work great.

Greater than one weekI found these to be more of a nuisance than the ones I had for years by the same company. I sent these back.

Greater than one weekThe plugs work great…exactly as described. You probably can’t use it behind a piece of furniture because of the plug location, in the front of it. A side location would be better. . I brought this for a light on a serving piece. Once I plugged the lamp in, the server was too far from the wall, so I couldn’t use it in the intention I wanted to. All of that is my fault, as the dimensions are provided & it’s quite clear in the pic, that you plug it into the front of it. I just thought I’d share my experience, for others considering using it in the same capacity.

> 3 dayI bought they during a Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal so I got them at a great price. They work great, I am able to set them to turn on and off at certain times through the Smart Life App and they also integrate with Alexa. I previously had the old school timers with the little knobs you have to pull out and the turn-style knob to set the time. However, I could never get the time exact and the lights would come on at different times. This was the main reason I switched to a WiFi app controlled timer. I purchased five of these to turn on and off all my Christmas decorations at the same time. The additional advantage to these timers is that I could set different times on different days which I could not due with the traditional timer. I like this feature because I like the decorations to stay on longer on Friday and Saturdays when we dont go to bed as early. The reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the directions. I find that setting up WiFi products is not always clear. You needed eagle eyes to try to see the directions, even my glasses didnt help. I also am not a fan of the Smart Life App it has SOOOO many options if you are setting things up manually but they never seem to match what you are setting up. After unsuccessfully trying to set up the timer manually I decided to hold down the on/off button (as it appeared per the directions that was a reset) and that was the key. After that it was very easy to set up. How to Set up: - Open up the Smart Life App to be ready - Plug in the timer - Hold the On/Off button until it starts to blink - I cant remember if I had to hit the + to add a device first, or if it showed up, but once it started blinking it would pop up to add the device - Let it connect - Name your device - Set the schedule The deal must have been great on these timers because when I decided I should have bought 6 instead of 5 the next day they were all out of stock! Definitely a great addition to my Christmas decorations.
