> 3 dayI have a 2005 Honda CRV that was burning one quart of oil per tank of gas. YES you did read that correctly. Car was abused before I got it, but now I have to fix it. Pulled the engine apart and found scoring on the #4 cylinder wall and a damaged piston. Replaced all 4 pistons, rings, and rod bearings. Took this hone to all the cylinder walls with a little extra in #4. All the bores came out factory perfect, except #4 which I would give a 8 out of 10. You could still see some vertical lines but it was 95% better than before. Hondas stance is do not hone, just install rings, and if you can catch a scratch with your fingernail, the block needs replacement. Well I wasnt replacing my block, so this was the next best thing. Put it all back together and the engine runs perfect. Car does not burn a drop of oil and the oil is still golden. It would be black from blowby within 500 miles before. Very pleased! and highly recommended.

> 3 dayI used this to Bust the glaze on a 68mm bore, in a cast steel barrel of a motorcycle engine. It worked really well - 10 - 30 SAE Oil, 1,500 RPM for a few minutes, left a very smooth set of honing lines. BUT 1: you have to REALLY take time getting th e abrasive out of the barrel after the hone. and 2) I think you may need to run the devices for longer than I did, as the scoring marks were still evident after running in the Bke.
