Brush Research GBD40024 FLEX-HONE, 4 (101mm) Diameter, 240 Grit, Silicon Carbide Abrasive (Pack of 1)

Used the 89mm size hone for my 84mm cylinders in my 52 motor and seemed to work good. Just lubed it up with some motor oil and followed instruction and the cross hatching seemed to come out really good, gotta speed it up on the last few strokes or else your cross hatches will not be close to 45 degrees which I found out quick enough.

Worked really good on 6.0 lq4 engine rebuilt, easy to use with plenty of lubricant.

Easy enough to use, worked well. Easily completed a 307 V8 engine. Not sure how many more it could do, but no visible wear on it. Ill have to store it for decades before Im likely to use it again though.

Used this to hone four cylinders in a two-stroke outboard motor. Didn’t take long for the honing balls to start breaking off as they passed by the cylinder wall ports. Luckily the ball stems are plastic and didn’t damage the cylinder walls. Eventually got the job done, though, producing a nice crosshatch surface finish.

Great price and worked better than stone style honing tool.
