Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Lens

This was a great package to develop more skills on. Id been shooting a standard 18-135mm lens for 7 years before I got this kit and its allowed a large amount of growth in a very short time. The 50mm is incredibly versatile and great size for travel and the 10-18mm is great for wide-angle without too much distortion. The break between the lenses of 18 and 50mm is a bit large and sometimes limiting. A 25-35mm may be a good bridge if youre looking to shoot between those ranges.

Love this lens.....nice and light and takes very nice pics! The reason for 4 star is that the lens does not retract all the way back in when it is in auto mode and the camera has been shut off. It as well does make some noise when adjusting in manual mode:(

Couldnt be happier with the results I got from this little beast right here. It shipped and sold very fast, I had it within two days and went right to work with it. It does amazing in low light situations when you have it at its 1.8 setting and the depth of field gives you a very professional photography look and cinematic video look. I just ordered this lens and I tried it out right away!! Im a portrait photographer and Ive always had a 50mm 1.8 in my bag! My older one was dropped and so I needed a new one! Im so pleased with the new STM version!! GORG colorful, crisp images!
