Commute Messenger Bag

Great bad, worked well for me but was expecting some more padding as protection for my lap top.

Just received the Timbuk2 Commute size large and was greatly disappointed. After considerable research and review reading, I bought it as a birthday gift for my son to carry his 17 Acer laptop and it just wasnt up to par.

Great bag. I had a small Commute but found that the medium has all the room I need. Laptop easily fits as well as all necessary cords. I keep some extra scrubs that I need at work in the bag. Good organization. I love leather bags but ones that are as big as this and hold as much stuff are extremely heavy on the shoulders. This is a nice weight bag with a great adjustable strap.

Perfect for my daily commute with my laptop in one side and my lunch in the large compartment. Well made as you would expect from Timbuk 2.

Had this bag for a few weeks and love it, had a Victorinox messenger bag before, and you can really tell the difference in care and detail they place with the bag.

I am a bag nut. Always searching for the perfect one. This is the closest Ive come to perfection.

This bag has all the features I wanted/needed for everyday train travel however its not designed for small women unfortunately. I battle daily to keep straps comfortable, will be looking for something else. Should have returned

This is my third Timbuk2 messenger bag and its the best one yet. The new area for my Mac and iPad is much more easily accessible and it goes through airport security without unloading. The main compartment has great pockets and dividers, keeping my bag well organized. I keep my sunglasses in the new outside pocket. I think the handle is essential. Unlike my other Timbuk2s, this bag stands up without flopping over on its side. As always, the bag is tough and flexible; a perfect replacement for my black leather briefcase. The all-black looks makes it appropriate for more conservative business settings.

Ive been on the hunt for my ideal messenger bag for a while, and finally found it with this bag. Things I were looking for in a bag were: 1. padded laptop compartment (this was a must for me, and many bags including the timbuk2 classic dont come with), 2. removable strap (inevitably this is where most messenger bags fail over time, and Ive owned many bags where the strap just isnt easily replaced), 3. a functional top handle. Many messengers have this, but Ive found that in many of them lifting by the handle just dumps open the bag, 4. off of that, snap closures. There is also velcro, but the bag comes with silencers, which is nice for a work setting where nobody wants to hear me opening my bag. 5. fits all my stuff easily without looking stuffed to the brim. My daily carry with this bag is a laptop, ipad, a couple pens, water bottle, my lunch bag (containing a tupper ware container, utensil case, and a snack), and sometimes a zip up sweater for when the office gets cold. These all fit with some room to spare in the medium sized bag.

Nice bag. I use it for casual days at the office.
