Commute Messenger Bag

So easy! Comfortable and fits my laptop well.

would rather have the metal clasps instead of the plastic ones

Just finished a 10 day business trip involving planes, trains, and automobiles and Im really happy I chose this bag to lug my work stuff along. It sits perfectly on top of my roll aboard suitcase and has almost as much room. It held my Macbook pro, iPad, Canon SLR in Lowe case, toiletries, two Fedex envelopes packed with documents, rain coat, baseball cap, extra digital camera, and two sweaters and still slid under the seat on United Airlines A319. I even put a folded suit coat on top of everything at one point and it didnt come out wrinkled.

This messenger bag is great, but the carrier drops this order on the mailing room floor instead of drop in front of my door, its careless.

Very good quality bag havent tested to be waterproof yet but it seems to be able to meet all the requirements that I have

Great bag! The website indicated that the large would hold my bag. It does only in the main compartment, not in the TSA approved section. This was very disappointing. I was going to return it but I was so amazed at how much it can hold. It expands but does not LOOK like an expanding bag from the outside. Every pocket is so well designed and thought out.

I purchased the Commute Messenger to replace a TUMI that had become slightly too small. I love the sleek look of the Commute Messenger in all black and the size is perfection. I can carry everything I need without it getting too big and bulky. The strap is comfortable and the addition of bottle holders on either side is useful. I do with there were more zip pockets on the inside--the majority of them are simple open pockets. But otherwise Im very pleased with my purchase.

Shocked to find a pen and a piece of paper which looks like a doctors research notes with patient health data points including names inside a pocket....it was a typed document with handwritten notes ...suspecting I got a used bag aka perhaps the product I bought was a returned and refurnished product. So disappointed in Timbuk2 after I bought this bag based on a recommendation from a California friend who raved about it. Not to mentioned paid for something at new not on gently used prices directly from Timbuk2 not a reseller.

Bought my wife a Timbuk2 messenger bag about 10 years ago, she finally wore that one out. This one doesnt appear to be made from the same materials, but should serve her well as the new EDC.

This is a great messenger bag and is perfect in many ways. Its like a hybrid of a work and travel messenger bags combined. I see myself taking this on trips and using it daily to and from work. My ONLY issue is and I wonder if anyone else has the same issue.... The black middle part of the bag if it scrapes up against anything, say even a finger nail lightly it leaves marks on the bag. This bag is too nice and I dont want to return it, but it doesnt look good with scrapes, or off color markings.
