Quick service and great product

I have purchased many of the 500GB version of this drive and have them installed in many of my developer laptops, and initially it seems that all the drives are great and have no issues. The problems start about 2 years in to service and now I have several that have failed or are starting to fail. They usually cause the machines to crash randomly, until it take several power cycles to get them to boot. The drives are worked a bit, but when they fail when I only see around 20 - 40 TB written to them and a drive life remaining indicator of 85 to 90% left. Because of this I will no longer be purchasing them for future machines.

Easy to install, had no problem to clone disk , install it. 100%.

This is one of several Crucial SSDs that I have purchased and so far, all have performed well. I am using this one to upgrade from a 500 GB drive to this 1 GB drive. It worked perfectly, no complaints.

Lasted barely over a year, not even recognized in bios on my PC or friends PC. Contacted support was told they would ship an empty box to send it back. Waited over two weeks no box... Called support AGAIN, now I have to ship it to them on MY DIME and wait x amount of weeks. Asked if I can ship it back and get a refund instead of replacement, since I cant trust my data on there products anymore, they said no. Junk product, junk warranty claim service.

I used to live in Boise next to the Micron corporate headquarters and I know this company has always had a good reputation. Crucial is a familiar name and a subsidiary of Micron so I trusted the name and wasnt disappointed. Out of the box installation time was less than an hour and the SSD drive booted up in less than 30 seconds. The cloning software that crucial provides online was very simple and the Clone process of my existing hard drive to transfer to the new SSD drive was the longest part at about 30 minutes.. There are a few technical things you might need to do like partitioning the drive by with a little help from some forms online that was manageable as well. So far so good.
