This is probably one of the best upgrades anyone can make to a laptop, getting rid of a harddrive for this gives such a huge performance boost.

I use these drives for backups and long term storage of pictures and data, so I have a master file and a duplicate of the master as a backup to the master. These drives are good as a USB external in a housing or USB external with cables and no housing, or they can be used internally as the main drive, or they can be used in an external duplicator (like startech). Anyway you use them, they are great drives with excellent read write times at a good price.

R/W speeds are as advertised. Been using more than a year now, never let me down.

very quicckly was able to install and works perfectly.

Easy swap of boot drive. Compatibility check, instructions, and cloning software are available on crucial.com. After making a bootable system disk with the Acronis software, the cloning process went smoothly without problems. Swapped out my 3 year old WD Black boot drive and Windows 10 did a quick update. Everything is running great. Definite performance boost.
