This is a great SSD that tends to get overshadowed by other SSDs. Its easy to install into your pc, pretty much just plug and play. Its great for gaming as youll get better and faster load times, its also great for transferring and downloading files as youll be able to half the amount of time or possibly even more.

I dont use this for gaming, but I do a lot of engineering drawing work and video editing. It is really nice to have the extra space for work, and the extra speed. I never needed support - just drop it into the slot, tighten the screws, and set up the drive.

Le doy cuatro estrellas porque en la velocidad de lectura no pasa de 2630MB/s y en velocidad de escritura esta sobre los 3190MB/s

Good value for the money. The only issue with the drive that I can find is that it runs rather hot--even at idle. Since I installed the drive in a Dell Optiplex 7050 MT, I added a heat sink to it, and it dropped the temps 11 - 12C. Since adding the heat sink, the drive has not gone over 47C, which is reasonable. No throttling or freezing at that temperature. The performance, even over a SATA SSD, is exceptional.

I am using this as external storage for my PS4 games on my PS5. The 1 TB size is perfect for me as I can store all of the games I am currently playing with room to spare. The drive seems to allow for very fast read and write speeds. I was able to transfer God of War in a little over a minute. I have experienced a game freeze while playing Miles Morales but I don’t believe it had anything to do with the drive as this game was uploaded to the PS5 internal SSD.

What I learned so far: Watch the price of this: it dropped $10 dollars the day after I ordered it (I cancelled & re-ordered it.) The screw to attach it SHOULD have come with your system. It doesnt come with the SSD because there are too many versions. Do use a magnetized screwdriver to attach it. Dont go King Kong on it. The Acronis free Clone program does work, but it is a SLOW, slow process... be very patient. The last step to disconnect the original source drive.... Im NOT doing that! Instead, use your BIOS to set the new SSD as the FIRST boot drive and remove any HDD references (leave DVD & USB boots as alternates) Then use DRIVE Manager to set sames and drive letters. The Crucial Executive Storage Tool; used it to increase speed and efficiency. Did not have any issues with it, although you can bollox things up if you ignore the warning... read the instructions! This is not cutting edge tech so its not for super-gamers, but its a solid performer from a respected company. In a few days, once I have some backups of the new boot drive I trust, Ill reformat the original 1Tb HDD as a data drive. Danger, Danger... Ignore my suggestion to not remove the Source Drive!! ALL Internal HDDs must be disconnected so the system will set the SSD as Drive 0 & as Primary on first boot! Before the next boot the HDDs can be reconnected. Doing otherwise created a FrankenSystem, booting from the original 0 Drive then loading the OS from the SSD.... APPEARS TO WORK, but it is wrong..

Love the speed and it bolted in easily once I found the screws. The issue I ran into will be specific to folks running a Asus B450 ROG board with LED lighting, or possibly any machine running the Lighting Service in Windows. Once I installed the drive and attempted to boot Windows (from another drive with this one installed) I got a BSOD and no boot. I knew this was due to the new drive, but the BSOD was non-specific. I found on Reddit that someone tried disabling the Lighting Service in services.msc. This worked for me from Safe Mode and allowed Windows to boot normally. I hope this helps someone else with a similar setup or issue.

It helped my boot times to be lowered by around 25%. I was using a 2.5 Sata Ssd before, and the difference is noticeable to say the least

When i installed the executive software, it indicated updated firmware updated is available install now but it would nott update and failed. Crucial tech support was useless, asking for the serial # the part # and a lot of other information andx ultimately telling me that no software update was available. After a lot of googling, I figured out Curcial software will NOT work for a computer configured with drive set to RAID. Almost all receint Dell computers are pre-configured with RAID enabled. If you do not have the technical skill to convert from RAID to ACHI, STAY AWAY FROM THIS DRIVE AND CRUCIAL SSDs IN GENERAL!! Otherwise it is good drive for $.

I decided Id given Samsung enough of my money and decided to pick this up in 2TB for a gaming drive. Im not angry, just a little disappointed that I happened upon a drive that advertised such a dramatic difference. The price was slashed by almost half, I paid about $150 for an NVMe that has about 15% less potential bandwidth than the *maximum* advertised bandwidth. It was an objectively good buy factoring in the discount I received and I would assume the seller knows this is happening and adjusted the price as a result; I just feel like I didnt get the deal I was advertised. Turns out some other companies like Kingston, PNY, and Adata got caught with their pants down in the past selling SSDs with chips different than what was sent to editors and launch buyers. So just like with RAM kits, watch your vendors and roll the dice when the price is right. Lesson learned. Reality is crystal disk scores dont matter *that* much, PC mark says it performs about like other drives Ive bought. Well see what the longevity is like and thats my biggest concern with lower bin chips. Tl;dr this product is a dice roll, get it on a big sale to be safe.
