> 3 dayThis is my first M.2, upon reading reviews and doing a little research I decided on Crucial and I do NOT regret my decision!!! I’ll likely be picking up another one because what’s better than 1 2TB Crucial SSD??? 2 of them. I run my OS and my biggest game on mine. Use 2TB Seagate for storage.

> 3 dayWhat I learned so far: Watch the price of this: it dropped $10 dollars the day after I ordered it (I cancelled & re-ordered it.) The screw to attach it SHOULD have come with your system. It doesnt come with the SSD because there are too many versions. Do use a magnetized screwdriver to attach it. Dont go King Kong on it. The Acronis free Clone program does work, but it is a SLOW, slow process... be very patient. The last step to disconnect the original source drive.... Im NOT doing that! Instead, use your BIOS to set the new SSD as the FIRST boot drive and remove any HDD references (leave DVD & USB boots as alternates) Then use DRIVE Manager to set sames and drive letters. The Crucial Executive Storage Tool; used it to increase speed and efficiency. Did not have any issues with it, although you can bollox things up if you ignore the warning... read the instructions! This is not cutting edge tech so its not for super-gamers, but its a solid performer from a respected company. In a few days, once I have some backups of the new boot drive I trust, Ill reformat the original 1Tb HDD as a data drive. Danger, Danger... Ignore my suggestion to not remove the Source Drive!! ALL Internal HDDs must be disconnected so the system will set the SSD as Drive 0 & as Primary on first boot! Before the next boot the HDDs can be reconnected. Doing otherwise created a FrankenSystem, booting from the original 0 Drive then loading the OS from the SSD.... APPEARS TO WORK, but it is wrong..

> 3 dayBought a new laptop and needed a larger NVMe M.2 PCIe SSD. This fit the bill. Crucial is made my Micron, one of, if not the best memory manufacturer out there. So no issues with quality here. This device is lighting quick and has tons of storage. One issue I had wasnt with the SSD itself but the software Crucial recommends--Acronis True Image. Got it for free because, hey, Crucial SSD. Welp, it did not recognize I had a Crucial SSD when it was either in a NVMe USB-C enclosure or in the laptop itself. I had to use different software to clone everything. Now its all done and things are great!

> 3 dayBought this drive as a fast access storage drive for video games that require a lot of disk use. At time of review I’ve had it in use for 6 months, great speed and reliability so far. This is my first crucial purchase and I’d definitely do it again.

Greater than one weekVery fast. Had some inconsistent performance at first. Read reviews about thermal throttling so I purchased one of the heat sinks with heat pipes and a PWM fan on it. Extremely fast and no issues anymore. DO yourself a favor and make sure you have good cooling and this thing will fly. It is nice not having to worry about space anymore.

Greater than one weekAs bootable device is perfect (less than 5 sec. paired with the rest of components in photo 2). Great speeds and response. 100% compatible with ASUS TUF H470 Pro (Wifi). Because its a NVMe drive you dont have to sacrifice the SATA port which shares bandwith. Im very happy with it. You have to be very careful when you make service with the I/O shield for M.2.

> 3 dayI got this to install into my Framework laptop DIY edition. Unfortunately it does not seem to be compatible, so I put Addlink S70 in its place. This SSD drops out when the Framework laptop resumes from sleep, causing the OS to crash. Long press of the power button brings it back. However this SSD works in my desktop as a game drive.

> 3 dayThis thing rocked the motherboard, it was fast. I just had it in my cart and my family member went ahead and bought it, so I gave it a try while putting in return order. But from the small amount of time I had with the Crucial P5 250GB 3D NAND NVMe Internal SSD, up to 3400MB/s - CT250P5SSD8 (adding that so they dont steal the review) I was super impressed with how fast it loaded FFXIV, The Division 2, Tom Clancys Breakpoint, and Fortnite.

Greater than one weekSpecs were as stated. Upgraded Dell laptop NVME 128gb to the Crucial P5 1tb worked perfectly. It does run hot though. Crystal Disk under load hit 75 C.... be aware. Didnt test the previous drive for temp. Couldve been similar. I would recommend a heat sink. Check clearances if in laptop. Extremely fast!

Greater than one weekUsing this drive (my first M.2 drive) to manage the videos captured by Blue Iris Security software. The SATA drive I was using lagged a bit when the software was trying to write video from three different cameras at the same time. This M.2 drive writes 5 times faster and has no issues with pretty much anything I throw at it. Yes, there are faster M.2 drives but for the great price I paid for this drive, Im very happy. Comes with a 5 year warranty. I have four Crucial SATA drives and have used them for years and no problems. I trust Crucial and put them in the same reliability category as Samsung. The drive was very easy to install (physically) and I used Macrium Free imaging software to copy the OS from the existing drive to the new M.2 drive. Easy peasy.
