> 24 hourWe have a dug we’ll. Recently we noticed a brownish quality in our water pitchers. Switched to this product and we can see the difference in our crystal clear water. We’ve had one in for about three weeks: still working. Great value for the money.

> 24 hourI have had this water filtration system for a few years but had trouble locally buying replacement filters. Decided to do a google search and found them the cheapest through Amazon with free shipping for orders over $25.00. Great deal and filters work fantastic. Love this whole house water filtration system and would highly recommend this product. Inexpensive to filter out some of the bad stuff found in city water.

> 24 hourI cant say I noticed much difference in my water after replacing the 50 micron filter with this one because I dont have a big problem with sediment. But I am pleased that the flow rate in the house doesnt seem any different. Its been installed about 2 months now. I expect it wont last as long as the 50 version but if my water is cleaner then its worth it. UPDATE Sept. 17, 2010 I learned something the hard way -- CHANGE THE FILTER REGULARLY! I was waiting for the flow rate to go down as a sign to change this filter but it never decreased. Then a month or two ago I noticed the water starting to smell and it really got pretty bad. Im on a well so wasnt sure if it was the ground water changing but then thought of the filter. Oh my gosh, it was gross. Black & slimy & stinky and the paper had torn so the water was flowing right through with no filtering, hence no pressure loss. This was about 6 months use on a well (no chlorine) which was way way too long at it turned out. Id say the filter should be changed every 2 months.

> 24 hourWe switched to these from a 5 micron for our well. Them work great and last about a month. We have them on subscribe and save.

> 24 hourEven though not recommended for untreated well water, Ive found this filter to be highly effective. We havent had any problems. They remove much more sediment than the R50-BBSA filter (50 micron). Before switching, washing cars left a noticeable haze on the finish. Using these, that haze is almost gone. Our well supplies two houses, lawns, gardens, and up to 300 head of cattle, so it gets a workout. We use two, plumbed in parallel and getting around 6 weeks before replacement. Once they start to plug the flow rate drops off faster than the R50-BBSA. What I expect with a finer filter.

> 24 hourWe have always used these - purchased in a hardware store previously. This was a good price for this purchase on line.

> 24 hourGood filter for what is needed. Hot tip - if you are using filter for the house, dont panic if water squirts out the enclosure for a few seconds. The filter and enclosure seal once the enclosure has filled. I discovered this after almost an hour of frustration. Maybe Culligan could add some information like this to the packaging - the enclosure manufacturer makes no note of it!

> 24 hourIm pretty happy with these filters they work great. I set them up as a subscribe & save so every 3 months I get one in the mail automatically that way I never have to remember when to replace it. In the summer when I run the sprinklers and fill up the pool I switch it to bi-monthly. Our water here in the SW suburbs of Chicago is very hard the filter seems to take quite a bit of it out. The advantages that we can see are less mineral deposits in the dishwasher. I have also noticed that the filters in our RO water system came out allot cleaner this last time so maybe Ill experiment with letting them go a little longer. 1 YEAR UPDATE so Ive been using them for almost a year. And I must say im still very happy with their performance. The subscribe and save price has gone up by a dollar and change but doesnt bother me enough to find a different filter. I have had NO instances of my unit falling apart, tearing or disolving so these other folks must just have terrible water or be leaving them in WAY too long! Drained my water heater about two months ago and not too much sediment came out unlike in past years so they are definitly helping. (when I replace the filter its completely covered in rust deposits and I mean COMPLETELY covered. Its amazing what this thing is catching!) Im keeping the 5 stars they are pretty cheap and work well so all in all I think its a pretty good value.
