> 24 hourHave used the D-Link 4-port models for years and been very happy. Bought the 8-port to replace another manufacturers product that was defective. Highly recommend. Suggestion to all switch manufacturers - how about making 5, 6, 10, 12 and 14-port models? 4 and 8 port are never enough, but I do not want 16 or 24 port.

> 24 hourI had an older model D-Link 5 port 10/100 switch that worked great until recently. I had a Ooma phone system, Wii, PS3, a Panasonic Blu-Ray player and Roku box connected to it. For some reason, when I went to PS3 and streamed content, it would knock the Ooma offline. Id have to unplug/re-plug in the D-Link switch to reset it, then itd work fine. I decided to try this 8 port gigabit switch, hoping it transfer the data better and Id have extra ports for an Xbox and whatever later. I also removed the Roku because I can get the content off the PS3 as well. So far its worked flawlessly. I just plugged it in and hooked up the Ethernet cables and have had no issues. Its slick looking and a great price to boot.

> 24 hourIt doesnt get any easier than this switch. We ran out of ports on our modem/router and needed a quick and easy fix. This did it.

> 24 hourI bought this awhile ago and still works like a charm. I use it in my entertainment stand to connect all my wired devices and send only one cable to my router. I stream movies over my network all the time and it has given me no issues.

> 24 hourI bought this product sometime after Jan 2013 and I just days ago (June 2013) bought another from another vendor due to need of use from a customer of mine. I love this product due to ease of use, just connect cables and devices and let the system do the rest. Works with Windows and / or Linux operating systems. Could not be any better. I will buy another for myself when I need to expand home network system again.

> 24 hourAs others have written. Works great .... until it doesnt. Warranty is worthless. A joke actually. Will not purchase again. Do yourself a favor and get the Netgear 308

> 24 hourPurchased two of these in February 2011 after much research on a few different brands/models. I moved into a rental townhouse and needed network connectivity from on side of the house to the other and didnt want to use wireless. I installed a switch on either ends of the house and ran a cable as trunk between them using port 8 on both. I have all 8 ports on one being used and 6 on the other. I have been using them ever since without any issues. No random restarts, no bandwidth degradation, no congestion and am usually streaming HD video/audio from my media center to 2-3 devices. If you just want a simple unmanaged home switch, for the money, this is a pretty good product.

> 24 hourgreat little switch but given the small size, rigid inflexible cables will make it hard to get it to set still on a flat surface even. I will be changing some of the cables on mine to a flat one. There by allowing the unit to lay flat as well. It has mounting screws and that might work for some. But for me it is not an option as it will expose more to the eye than I desire.

> 24 hourGreat for expanding drops in a remote room in your home. Small and lights are not bright enough to light up entire room like disco at night.
