This little switch gets the job done at our office to connect our computers and IP phones to each workstations internet connection.

Boy, this ethernet switch is small, fits almost anywhere and it works, so far, but I just got it so time will tell. In order to really take advantage of the speed I would need to replace all of my cat 5 Ethernet Cables with cat 6 something I am not ready or willing to do. I am getting 90 -93 mbps for large file transfers on my network so I cant complain. I did some checking on my system and only one of my three laptops has a gigabit ethernet port which is limiting my data transfer speeds to just under 100mbps. I found a small network data transfer speed test app for free on the internet. Checking from the one computer that has a gigabit port to the NAS I have on my gigabit router gives me around 300mbps data transfer. I feel the speed is now being limited by the hard drive I am using on the router. Based on this I am purchasing a gigabit ethernet to USB3 adapter for the main server on my network. It comes tomorrow and I will report on how well it performs later. One other nicety of this switch: the port lights show green for 10/100/1000 ports and orange for 10/100 ports. This really is a big help.

plugged it in hooked it up and forgot all about it. does all it is suppose to and have no problems with it. Looks great if you stare at it but really just blends in where I needed to put it, not like a medal box.

I bought this 8-port switch to put all my machines on the same net cleaning up my network cabling etc. It works fine both between units on the net and the wireless router that I have connected upstream. I am very pleased with it and it saved me money. I would definitely recomend it.

I needed to upgrade the switch between my gigabit router and gigabit card-equiped PC, and this DLink fit the bill perfectly. No problem with set up and it worked first time out of the box.

Happy with this product so far, works as indicated (Ive purchased one before). Really have nothing to complain about - all 1000/100 connections light up individually and pass data as described.

I have an extensive home network with an extender as well. I have blu ray on wireless, TV was wired, then added Direct TV HDDVR which needs a wired connection. I put this in, simple enough. Did seem to slow down speeds a little bit at first. Main problem with speed was IP Comcast was not connecting to the right Samsung Server. This happened in New England and I found it was wrong in Florida. My download speeds with Comcast are 20-30Mbps, I was only getting 1Mbps through Samsung. Contacted Comcast and requested them to make sure they are connected to the new USA Samsung Server, as off 2 years ago verses the old Southeast Asia server. The next day my Samsung speed was at the 20-30Mbps speed, case closed.

Works as it should.
