> 24 hourI used these pads to polish 18 sqft of 2 1/4 inch hearth stone with a variable speed polisher I purchased at Harbor Freight for about $50. The pads held up great all the way up to 4000 rpm. I did most of the work at 2500 rpm. After using all the pads they all still look like new and the stone looks great. If you want the full polished granite counter top look you will need some polishing powder and a pad. I did not have any problems with the pads coming apart as other reviewers have said they had. I was able to polish right up to the edge of chisled rough edge that I did on the front face of the stone without any problems. The kit comes with the backer the screws right on to a standard polisher. The backer has a stiff velcro that the pads attach too. When you are done with one grit you just pull the pad off and attach the next one, very fast and easy. None of the pads ever slipped or moved from the velcro attachment even at 4000rpm. This was my first time working with and polishing stone slab. These pads made the job easy. Dont get me wrong, working with large stone slabs is hard work and very messy but these pads are easy to use, highly recommended. I plan to use them again when I do more work in my back yard.

> 24 hourThis product works great. I had to cut the edge of my granite countertop then used this item to polish the cut side. WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS ON A STANDARD ANGLE GRINDER - THE PADS WILL DISINTEGRATE DUE TO THE HIGH SPEED. Use a variable speed angle grinder on medium speed OR an automotive buffer that has variable speed. I used the buffer, and it fit perfectly and worked great.

> 24 hourYou need to write down which are the finest grit to the course ones. The numbers wear off and each of these type of products have different color codes. No paperwork to help with this either.

> 24 hourThese worked great for the edges of our granite tile countertops. Bought a $40 angle grinder at Harbor Freight to use with them and they did the job for relatively cheap!

> 24 hourI used these on a die grinder to dry polish a concrete counter top. They worked great and show almost no signs of wear on most of them. One of the 50 grit one lost some chunks around the edges from use on corners but that is to be expected, especially since the counter had broken glass embedded in it. The pads polished no only the concrete, but the glass as well. I am extremely impressed and I would recommend them to anyone looking to polish concrete.

> 24 hourI had EXCELLENT RESULTS!!!! Take your time, go slow and in stages.....dont get in a hurry or use them (any of them) in high speeds!! I used mine dry, they make quite a bit of dust so wear a respirator or mask!!! and plan on getting covered in dust (they all do that). I had to do about 8 feet of rough cut edging, they did a great job.....These will probably last me a very long time!!!!

> 24 hourVery glad I didnt listen to the negative comments if you read the instructions and do as it says these pads will last you a very long time. Get yourself a polisher that runs up to 3500 RPMs and youre golden pick yourself up one from Harbor Freight that goes from 0 to 3500 and cost you a whole $35. The only way I can see these pads going flying is if youre using a high-powered grinder which it says not to my only suggestion is if you plan to seal your counters only go to about 150 Grit depending on the sealer or the surface will be too slick for it to adhere to itll just come up after its dry. If you want super smooth and go all the way up to 3000 I would get a penetrating spray sealer. And if your counters are in the house prepare for a mess

> 24 hourGreat products last a long time. I just threw away my first 200 grit from this kit last month. Im a general contractor that specializes in tile work, and I often need to grind or polish edges and 200 grit is my default for non shiney surfaces. Last a long time! Much cheaper than the local guys.
