> 3 dayNeeded to refinish a small slab of Carrara marble, a relatively soft stone. I bought these pads after reading all the reviews and thinking I wanted to splurge for a decent set of diamond polishing pads instead of the harbor freight polishing pads I had used previously with my angle grinder on edges only. This wax for the full surface, so I even bought a new polisher and made sure to keep the RPMs within the stated range. I tried it slower I tried it faster… with water, then dry, and I even went back and started over going from 200 grit up again, thinking maybe I had done something wrong, but none of my attempts gave me a factory finish! Its slightly shiny at best. I reverted to my non-diamond pads (only go up to 600 grit btw) and angle grinder and that worked even better than these at the finest grits! So I laid out more money and bought some marble polishing compound which Im expecting tomorrow. I hope it works to give me a factory finish. After spending five hours of working with these pads yesterday, Im really disappointed. ☹️

> 3 dayThis product works great. I had to cut the edge of my granite countertop then used this item to polish the cut side. WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS ON A STANDARD ANGLE GRINDER - THE PADS WILL DISINTEGRATE DUE TO THE HIGH SPEED. Use a variable speed angle grinder on medium speed OR an automotive buffer that has variable speed. I used the buffer, and it fit perfectly and worked great.

> 3 daySoon after I ordered this product I got a friendly email from the seller indicating they would ship it right away and What you buy is 11+1 Pad, and you will get 13+1, since we have attached 1 more Grit 400 800 as EXTRA FREE GIFT to you. Nice of them and I appreciate the gift. Unfortunately, when I received the product and tried to use the 50 grit, the pad literally wore out in minutes. I had to switch back to the original (which I was going to throw away) just to finish the job. The original pads came with a SECCO WVPOLSET 4-Inch Variable Speed Wet Polisher Kit. The original 50 grit had at least 20 minutes of heavy use and lasted another 15 minutes. The new 50 grit pad was worn out in 5-10 minutes.

> 3 dayBought these for a concrete counter top project. Worked really well. The 50 grit is rough enough to bevel the edges but will not take enough material off to reveal aggregate and it struggles polishing the aggregate. If you have a big project Id go ahead and get the 6 or 7. Orbital is the way to go with these otherwise they will walk all over the place.

> 3 dayMake sure you use a low rpm angle grinder or polisher. With too high speeds these will overheat and burn the edge of the granite. Used properly the do an amazing job, and they do quickly. I am a first time granite polisher and polished the edges of probably 40 feet of granite tile. It took a little time because i had so much to do, but was actually pretty quick. It turned out beautiful and was relatively easy to do. My edge polish looks identical to the surface polish that came on the tiles. Beautiful.

Greater than one weekIf you purchase a polisher or grinder that is capable of spinning at a low enough speed (2-3000 RPM) then you can get great results with these. We put in a granite tile counter top and had to polish the edges of all the perimeter tiles. It took some time to get proficient at polishing but eventually got great results! But be aware polishing stone, even with the right tools, is a very time consuming task requiring good attention to detail! We did it dry at 2000 RPM because adding water would have been much more hassle and mess. I think I can say with confidence that most of the bad reviews for this product are written by people who did not have a polisher or grinder with the correct RPM.

> 3 dayThese are a must to use with your Stadea stone polisher. Best pads Ive ever used and the Stadea polisher is the greatest wet polisher for the money there is. I purchased mine here from Shop-n-Save Diamond Tools. They have the best service department in the business.

Greater than one weekThese pads were great! I had to polish several edges of 3cm granite for some bathroom vanity tops and they worked great. I assumed this kit was ready to mount on a drill but I soon realized it the foam pad doesnt have a mandrel. You need either a grinder/polisher or be sure to purchase the drill adapted when you buy the kit. I bought an angle grinder and a router speed controller (to slow the grinder down) for this project. Here are some tips I learned: 1. Make sure the pads are centered! Off-center pads cause uncomfortable tool vibration. 2. Take you time & be thorough. I realized after I installed the piece that I had missed a thin strip. Tough to see outside, but you can see the dull reflection under lighting. 3. Tape off work section. This helped me stay within the limits of the work area and ensure I was polishing the entire work area so I didnt miss anything. 4. Take a milk jug and poke a pin hole about 1 inch from the bottom. Fill with water. Direct the small stream of water onto the work area. Move jug as needed to keep area wet. Overall I was very happy and the pads still look brand new. Based on how often I will use them, they will probably last my lifetime. Most of my friends couldnt tell the factory edging from my work so I was happy about that!

> 3 dayPads are durable and work well. They far outlast the others Ive purchased thus far by 3-4x the surface / polishing. Ive been using them to polish concrete counter-tops within 3-21 days after setting, with great results, across multiple pours with various types of agate [glass, stone, fiberglass, even some metal patterns laid into the concrete].
