> 3 dayAfter installation of some of our exterior doors there were some visible gaps. After consulting YouTube about this problem I discovered this ingenious fix. These shims enabled us to get the doors realigned to eliminate those gaps. Other than the usual wooden shims I couldn’t find any of these at our local hardware store. Thank goodness I could get them on Amazon!

> 3 dayFor months I stared at my front door. I hung a slab door myself and cut it a bit short. Everyday I looked at the door...and the gap. It was killing me! I was about to buy a new door to fix the gap. I came across this product and thought I would try it. It took me 10 minutes to install. It worked! I am so elated.

Greater than one weekI easily in no time shimmed up my back door. The directions could be better but you snap the shim in half to slide it into position. Then tighten the hinges back up. No more lifting the door knob to get the deadbolt to lock for us. Easy and worth the money just to end the frustration of an ill fitting door.

> 3 dayI just used these on one side of my French Doors on a house I bought. The gap between the doors now is so close it made my lock function much better and the doors are now more secure. The (new) weatherstripping works better also... well the one between the doors does. Between the door and the wall now there is a gap because the weatherstripping there is painted over and brittle. Once I replace that I will have a perfect seal thanks to these hinges. Saved me from replacing the whole astragal. I didnt realize 5 sheets of shims came in a pack, so I bought too many. Still the results are so good and fast that they are worthy of 5 stars.

Greater than one weekMy front door latch assembly wasnt locking into the strike plate. It was just a tad too low. If I lifted on the doorknob, it would lock in place. The deadbolt was also not lining up unless I lifted the door knob. I first tried cardboard shims that I made, but that would only last for a week or two. I found these on Amazon, although I first ordered the wrong size. Front door hinge is 4 inches and I ordered the 3.5 inch. Not worth returning and I may need them someday. This morning I removed the cardboard from the bottom hinge, started the screws back into the hinge, folded one of these shims in half, removed the third part, and tightened the screws. Door closes and latches perfectly. I should have bought these 3 years ago.

> 3 dayI bought a new house and very soon the front door starting sticking and would not stay shut unless it was locked. It had been installed by what is laughingly called professionals. I placed two shims behind the bottom hinge, one behind the next hinge up and none behind the top two hinges. Now the door opens easily and latches easily. Too bad the professionals dont know how to hang doors, but luckily the shims are available to home owners so we can fix the shoddy workmenship.

> 3 dayThese shims served their purpose. They were not the easiest to install and were difficult to get positioned. Once installed they did what they were supposed to do, which was to equal out the gap on each side between the door and the doorjamb.

> 3 dayThis shim is very easy to use. The jamb hinge screws only need to be loosened, and the shim slipped in place. Each shim is pre-cut to accommodate the screw pattern of the hinge.
