> 3 dayThese worked well, and solved one problem I had with the door not locking/unlocking properly by shifting the door slightly downwards. However, in this thickness they caused the door to stick in another place, at the top corner. I wish they came in a thinner version. However, the concept is great and I used them as a template for a thinner plastic I had on hand. I would use them again if the situation were right.

> 3 dayI had a bolt that was not perfectly aligned with the door jam hole and this did the trick! Easy as can be to install: Take out the top and bottom screws on the door-jam side of the hinge and LOOSEN the middle ones (this is for a 4 inch hinge). Slide the shim into place (carefully use a screwdriver if necessary to push it in until the screw holes are not covered. Put the screws back in and tighten the others and check to see if it helps. My own situation only needed one, but you might end up needing more than one. Install them one at a time, try it, and then install one more if need, etc. I found a useful video on the manufacturers webpage on how to install it, although the directions above are pretty much all you need!

> 3 dayWorked like a charm on my front steel door. The house is settling so lower hinges had to be shimmed rather than resetting the striker plate.

> 3 dayI had a door which never would close right. It was sticking at the top. I tried to sand it to no avail. I put these shims behind the top two hinges and the edge of the door and now it swings as it should and fits well.

> 3 dayI have been fighting my front door alignment since I bought this house. Adding one of these shims to the bottom hinge really helped. Adding two was too much and pushed the door out of alignment in the other direction. Replacing the top hinge screws with longer screws that extend past the door frame (#9 wood screws, 2-3 inch length) fixed the rest of the alignment problems. the front door now works perfectly. The pack came with enough shims to let me work on all of the other doors in this house that are out of alignment.

> 3 dayThese shims were very easy to install and I was able to straighten a door that was sticking closed due to soil shifting in a hot Houston summer.
