> 3 dayI had a door which never would close right. It was sticking at the top. I tried to sand it to no avail. I put these shims behind the top two hinges and the edge of the door and now it swings as it should and fits well.

> 3 dayBought this to align my hinges and fix a sagging door (after I replaced the hinges). Shims snap off from the pack. Loosen your hinge screws maybe half way and slide the shim in. You do not need to remove the screws. If I had a suggestion, I wish that some of them were in half thickness but the ones they sent worked for me.

> 3 dayIt did the job! My heavy, solid wood front door was leaning some, causing it to stick pretty tightly above the door handle. I did not want to remove the whole door to fix it because its sooo heavy. There were big gaps on the lower part below the door handle and the upper edge hinge side. I used three layers on the lowest hinge, one shim in the middle hinge. I did have to trim with scissors the plastic to fit the shape of my hinges. Easy peasy. It took about a half hour to adjust and readjust to get it just right to realign my door correctly.

> 3 dayHad the front door to beach cottage changed. The door had un-even gaps (closer to frame on right side but large gaps on top left and left side). The door would not shut without engaging the deadbolt by force. The installer said that it was normal after over $500 install charge. Placing two of this shims by loosening hinges on right bottom and one in middle hinge fixed the issue

Greater than one weekI didnt notice at first but the package was open and most of the product was remove. 10 of the 15 count was missing. The product works as advertised. I will use the remaining 5, just thought I should report the opened product.

> 3 daySo, mortising is a fine art that seemingly is lost. I keep some of these in my work truck at all times. We primarily do new construction and I’ve had several jobs where factory supplied doors had a door hinge mortise entirely too deep. These little things are a lifesaver! If you set and case doors, you should have some.

> 3 dayThings are always shifting and this was such a life saver! I couldnt find anything in store that would fit my needs. I found this and was so happy i did!! Easy for single person instalation! Thankfully I didnt have to take the door all the way off or fight with other shims. I will be buying more for my other doors!

> 3 dayThey worked for me. Standard 4-screw hinge. No issues with plastic bumps or tabs sticking out, no issues with the slots not lining up. I wouldnt mind being able to buy a few less in a package but that is a small nit.

Greater than one weekFor years I used cardboard for shims with mixed results over time (cardboard compresses over time). I bought these shims when my front door once again wouldnt lock. The dead bolt was hitting below the bore in the door frame. I removed the card board shims and replaced them with two of the EZ-SHIMS. The door locks normally again. I dont see the EZ -Shims compressing like the cardboard does. The only minor issue (really a non-issue for me), is that you will probably have to trim them as they are not the correct shape for most newer hinges. In order to fit the EZ-Shims in the hinge mortise for hinges with rounded corners, two corners need to be trimmed. That is easily done with a pair of scissors.
