Had local glass company replace several door and window glass panes. One door had integral molded polywhatever quarter-round stop instead of removable. So glass tech had to saw stop off; during this process he steadied himself by hanging on the door. Tech was pretty large guy, so next day the door latch wasnt working very well, then not at all. These magic scraps of plastic were easy to install and realigned the door at minimum cost and hassle.

I got same model number shown but holes in picture are slightly different and I had to cut to make room for one screw but simple enough. I know many people just use cardboard or something but that will break down over time and result in possible damage due to leaving the hinge loose when it does. These are plastic and wont just dissolve due to weather etc. Only thing I wish is they made a variety pack. The 4 ones generally work for exterior doors while inside is generally 3.5. I have a lot of spares now as only need like 2 of each lol. Good thing they are cheap!

We just had double doors installed in our home, a complete rebuild including the frame. When the installation crew left, we noticed that the new doors didnt close properly. So a bit of research, brought us to the need for hinge shims. The E-Z shims were the perfect solution to make the minor corrections needed. At 1/16 thickness, they can be combined if needed. Very easy to install, and a value for the money spent. Couldnt find this product locally, but Amazon had them . Quick shipping too. These are made of a pvc material, but should last a lifetime.

Love these. Found out my door installer had use plain cardboard to shim a door, and it was sagging out of true. These were super easy to install, fit exactly, and the door now closes better than ever!

I just used these on one side of my French Doors on a house I bought. The gap between the doors now is so close it made my lock function much better and the doors are now more secure. The (new) weatherstripping works better also... well the one between the doors does. Between the door and the wall now there is a gap because the weatherstripping there is painted over and brittle. Once I replace that I will have a perfect seal thanks to these hinges. Saved me from replacing the whole astragal. I didnt realize 5 sheets of shims came in a pack, so I bought too many. Still the results are so good and fast that they are worthy of 5 stars.

Front door was not plumb and had a gap at the bottom of about 3/8ths of an inch. Three issues: 1) the existing screws would not be long enough to secure the door into the jamb, 2) the shims were not the same width as the hinge, so there would be a rocker effect as the door opened and closed, 3) a 3/8 inch shim at the hinge side would be pretty ugly. So I will probably cut a tapered piece of wood to put on the jamb on the opposite side. Note these would probably work well for a smaller gap, however hinge screws are set into the jamb and shimming a hinge even 1/16th of an inch prevents the existing screws from setting as deep. There are 2.5/3 inch screws available specifically for this purpose.

Due to some settling my exterior door was no longer plumb and difficult to lock. I used one of these to bump out the bottom hinge a bit and it now closes and locks perfectly.
