> 3 dayFor audiophiles, this is a “budget” entry. For average folks, they’ll seem pricey. All i can say is they are worth it. After buying a HTIB system that i was trying to keep on a budget, i found the speakers that came with it (Yamaha YHT-4930UBL system) were kind of thin, especially the center. Tried replacing the center with a Pioneer SP-C22, but while much improved it still was too bright on the high end (crunchy sound). Read a lot about these speakers and the matching center speaker from the same series. While I didn’t want to spend this kind of money on speakers for a budget build in an off gaming/media room, i quickly found they were worth every penny. Avengers: Infinity War in 4K sounded amazing. The matching center to this series (separate purchase) had terrific clarity without being too much treble, very warm sound. These bookcase speakers used as fronts and surround had amazing depth and clarity. The balance in the sound was unbelievable. No overwhelming base or treble. Just awesome surround and sound presence. If you’re like me, not an audiophile, but wanting to build on a budget, it may feel like these are outside the pricing of “budget build”. It’s worth the investment though if you want a good pair of speakers that can help you make a “set it and forget it” build that won’t have you constantly fiddling with the sound settings when switching between different content.

> 3 dayI want to preface this by noting that I paid <$250 for my pair. Currently, they are listing for $300+ and you have TONS of options in that price range. Overall, I love these little beauties. I currently live in a small apartment and needed something appropriate for the space. These fit the bill. Not sure Id call em bright, but I do have the bass on my chi-fi amp turned up a smidge to warm them up. There can be a clinical aspect to the sound sometimes, I wont deny that. But at the price I paid, and given the rock-solid build quality, these are great. I may replace them with some wharfedales at some point, partially just to try something else, maybe see if I cant warm things up. Cant stress the source enough; playing mp3s through the bluetooth is fine but cranking some Floyd via CD really wakes up these pups. They are rockers and would pair well with a sub, Id think. I should stress that these are currently driven with a cheap class D Fosi amp. Id love to hear them through a quality class a/b amp, I just dont have the space.

> 3 dayExcellent value, great sound for the money. I use them for TV speakers mostly but they sound pretty darn good for music too.

19-11-2024I liked the detailed highs I disliked how fatiguing they were at first but they have broken in a bit I felt wanting more bass. I recommend these with a small SUB. That would be a great combination. The separation of instruments is pretty good. Good bang for your buck. I ended up buying the UniFi Ub5s yet to compare. However I expect different price different performance.

> 3 dayI needed to downsize my floor model audiophile speakers due to my new location but still wanted a great set of shelve loudspeakers without sacrificing whats important like bass and clarity. I would strongly recommend them.

> 3 dayThese are excellent as the L/R front speaker pair in my surround system. For best result, position the tweeters at ear level when seated at the listening position. Also, before you judge the sound quality, allow about 20 hours of playing time at moderate levels for the speaker components to loosen up. This is important! Also, start with the speakers facing straight ahead. Then begin to slightly toe in the speaker to fine tune the imagining, to your taste, if needed. One final point. Make sure your amp/receiver has at least 50 watts per channel of power to properly drive this speaker. Most good quality equipment will have no trouble driving these 6to8 ohm speakers. With some initial care during setup, you will enjoy these speakers. Ive owned several pairs of this series of Elacs and have been very happy. Dont obsess over the hardware, just sit down and ENJOY THE MUSIC. !!!!!!!!!!!!!

> 3 dayThese speakers blew me away and thats coming from a lot of high-end stuff. These I ordered as a replacement for damaged Klipsch speakers that were broken in a move so I needed a cheap replacement for the bedroom. These fit the bill and Elac 6.2s had a lot of good reviews. These sound just as good, they give up a tiny bit of low end to the 6s but otherwise they are very good. The front port design covers a wide range of frequencies and is forgiving of placement and allows placement near walls or corners easier. These are how speakers SHOULD sound, just perfect.

Greater than one weekThis is definitely the best speaker for the money. I got them on sale and hooked up to my Yamaha stereo speakers. Amount of bass I am getting from this size speakers are very satisfying. Overall it has a natural sound with good Soundstage and detail. You can listen to them for a long time without getting fatigued.

> 3 dayThese sound amazing for the price especially when used in conjunction with high quality sound files or vinyl. I personally use the Qobuz app on my iPhone and am really impressed with the sound even on my cheap Sony receiver so I can order nay imagine how they’d sound with quality preamp and sound equipment. Would definitely recommend!!

> 3 dayIve had the Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 for a couple of weeks now. My ears are attached to a 60 plus body and theres unclearly :) been some audio spectrum attenuation. Ive had a Yamaha YAS-107 soundbar connected to my TV for a couple of years so to a certain extent, this is a comparison to the soundbar. The Elacs sound very good in overall comparison, but the soundbar is better with higher frequencies and voice. Its signal processing excels at that. I tried running the TV audio through my Denon AVR-S750H and the Elacs but I easily prefer the soundbar for basic TV watching. Its much cleaner, more spacious sound. If I stream music through the TV and AVR, then the Elacs are much better. I had intentions of setting aside the soundbar and using the AVR with Elacs for both TV and music, but I decided for now to leave the soundbar connected to the TV, and use the AVR for music streaming. I bought a HDMI switch so I can switch back and forth easily between TV/soundbar and TV/AVR/Elacs, or use the AVR/Elacs discretely for music. It seems to be the best solution for me at the moment. I am curious what a good 3.1soundbar sounds like in comparison. All in all, I dont regret the Elac purchase. For their size, they sound very nice.
