Great speakers for a small room where intimacy is the goal. The tweeter design is very mellow which means you can listen to music for hours without your ears getting fatigued from to much bright sounds.

ELAC makes outstanding speakers for the price. I am using one of these as a center channel because it fit in my TV stand. I already use the Uni-Fi UC5 center channel with my home cinema setup and it was an excellent plug n play speaker, I wanted to stay with ELAC going forward. This bookshelf speaker (Debut 2.0) sits between a pair of B&W 684 S2s and works SEAMLESSLY with them.

Finally they are here!!!! Yes! I feel like I got into audio in the right nick of time! I got to play with the original B6 and the Uni-Fi B5’s and towers!!! I wish I still had my Emotiva TA-100 to play with these new bad boys!!! The bass from the Uni-Fi’s are here and it is a bit more brighter but it’s more than welcomed! I love Elac speakers!!! Buy them!

I bought these a few weeks ago because id had enough of playing around with quality vintage speakers with their quirks and minor fails. They are superb.

I purchased these ELAC Debut 2.0 B5.2 Bookshelf Speakers over a month ago, so there has been time for them to break in. I started them with an old Pioneer VSX-502 that died soon after I purchased these speakers. The sound with that receiver was good but really didnt give credence to the speakers. I soon upgraded (updated) to the Onkyo TX-SR373 5.2 receiver. The speakers came to life and became quite musical. I am no audiophile, but the speakers sound clear and crisp. My only reference has been my old Polk RT55i/RT35i speakers which were smooth, warm and detailed. The ELACs are quite detailed in the highs. They are clean and not as forgiving with MP3 or Spotify normal download in the lack of detail. They are also great in their lower frequency extension for 5.25 speakers. Cant measure how low, but they dont struggle with lower midbass. It was a gamble purchasing them without hearing them. They are worth the money. One complaint though, they are quite large for bookshelf application. The cabinet shape and finish is quite bland. I suppose the sound quality makes up for these short comings.
